					                                 General Conditions

1. The Ministry of Education of the mentioned countries, in cooperation with the
   Embassy of the Slovak Republic, selects applicants for the university study in the
   Slovak Republic within the study programs with technical orientation. It provides
   the list of applicants, including fully completed applications with supporting
   documents to the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak
   Republic through diplomatic channels of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic till
   May 31st, 2012.

2. The Selection Commission of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport
   of the Slovak Republic decides on awarding scholarship of the Slovak Republic
   for 10-month language and academic preparation, based on the submitted documents.

3. The date for commencing the 10-month language and academic preparation is
   September 3rd, 2012.

4. After graduating from the 10-month language and academic preparation, the students
   apply for full university (master’s/engineer, or PhD.) study in the Slovak Republic,
   pursuant to the internal legal regulations of the Slovak Republic, in the study programs
   with technical orientation.

5. The sending party is obliged to advise the Ministry of Education, Science, Research
   and Sport of the Slovak Republic (address: Stromová 1, 813 30 Bratislava) and the
   Institute of Language and Academic Preparation for Foreign Students of the Center of
   Further Education of the Comenius University in Bratislava (address: UJOP CĎV UK,
   Žižkova 10, 811 02 Bratislava; Iveta Tunegová, iveta.tunegova@cdv.uniba.sk, tel.:
   +421- 2-544 10 368) of the arrival date of applicants to the Slovak Republic at least
   two weeks before commencing the language and academic preparation in the Slovak
   Republic.
   The posting party sends the contact data of the person responsible, for the posting
   party, for coordination of the stay of the students in the Slovak Republic to the
   Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic and to the
   Institute of Language and Academic Preparation for Foreign Students of the Center of
   Further Education of the Comenius University in Bratislava.


6. The study commencement is bound to the academic year 2012/2013 that the decision
   on scholarship granting was adopted for. The scholarship is non-transferable to any
   other person. The date of the study commencement cannot be altered without the prior
   consent of the Slovak party. The holder of the scholarship of the Slovak Republic may
   apply for the date of alteration in writing in justified cases.


7. At the study commencement, the students present medical certificate on their state of
   health allowing for their stay and study in the Slovak Republic. It may not be older
   than 30 days.
8. The holders of scholarship of the Slovak Republic are exempt from any administration
   fees for granting the permit and for extension of the permit for temporary stay in the
   Slovak Republic pursuant to the internal legal regulations of the Slovak Republic.


9. All information required for entering the territory of the Slovak Republic and for
   temporary stay on the territory of the Slovak Republic is provided to the applicants for
   study by the Embassy of the Slovak Republic.


10. Healthcare for foreign citizens studying in the Slovak Republic is provided:


       a) pursuant to the Act No 580/2004 Coll. on health insurance as amended, Section
          3 (3) (d). Physical person not permanently residing in the Slovak Republic has
          compulsory public health insurance if he/she does not have any health
          insurance in another European Union member state or in any signatory state of
          the Agreement on the European Economic Area or in the Swiss Confederation
          and is a student from another member state or a foreign student studying at the
          university in the Slovak Republic on the basis of an international agreement
          that the Slovak Republic is bound by,
       b) pursuant to the Section 11, (7) (h) of the quoted Act, the state pays the
          premium for the foreign student to fulfill the commitments arising from
          international agreements that the Slovak Republic is bound by.

11. The applicant for scholarship for language and academic preparation in the Slovak
    Republic applies using the form – Application for granting scholarship of the
    Government of the Slovak Republic – with appropriate annexes forming an integral
    part of the documents. Incomplete applications will not be included in the decision-
    making proceedings of the selection commission. Additional filing of final school
    certificates that the applicant receives in the given calendar year after filing the
    application to the Slovak party makes an exception.
