Santana’s South American tour was aborted midway due to people’s unrest against the local government. But his musical performance with a revamped band in Hawaii in 1972 was a brilliant success. In fact live recording of the tour was his next album titled “Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles! Live!” The live performance was average for his standards but the album reached a gold- record position and sold 2 million copies. The most popular tracks were "Everybody's Everything" and "No One to Depend On". In the 1980s, he was back with "Havana Moon" sung by Chuck Berry and "Who Do You Love" by Bo Diddley. His “La Bamba” was a super hit and brought him back into the limelight after a gap of some years. The 1990s brought Santana accolades that most musicians would kill for. His track Supernatural topped the charts and was quickly followed by the single “Maria Maria” which too was number one on the U.S. charts. Santana released another solo record, Blues for Salvador, which won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance. In 2000 he won a whopping nine Grammy Awards, of which eight he won personally. In 2003, he was declared fifteenth among the top 100 guitarists in the world. He has won 3 Latin Grammy Awards and 10 Grammy Awards to date. For more information visit us at http://www.ultimatesantana.com/
