According to news reports President Obama signed the “The Presidential Appointment Efficiency
and Streamlining Act of 2011” on August 10, 2012.

Politico.com reports,
“Democrats and Republicans came together to give
President Obama more power to appoint officials jobs in
his administration without seeking approval from the
      Senate.”

This bill will go into effect anywhere from 0-60 days from the
date of President Obama signing it. The Senate approved the bill,
79-20, in June 2011. The House approved it, 261-116, last month.
“In the middle of election season, Democrats and
Republicans in Congress have come together to give
President Barack Obama more power to appoint officials
to jobs in his administration without seeking approval from
     the Senate.”

Yes, you read correctly: more power. The article went on to point out just why this didn’t break across
mainstream media:
Lost in the hubbub last weekend over Rep. Paul Ryan’s selection as Mitt Romney’s running
mate was the fact that Obama signed a bill that eliminates the need to obtain Senate
                                                                  confirmation for about 170

                                                                  Presidential Appointment
                                                                  Efficiency and Streamlining
                                                                  Act of 2011.

Senator Lieberman, the Chairman of the
                                                             Senate Committee on Homeland Security
and Government Affairs, which marked up
and reported out the measure, said: “This
                                                             bipartisan legislation represents the Senate
at its best. A problem was identified, and
                                                             Democrats and Republicans worked
together to craft a solution. Now, future
Administrations will be able to get their
teams in place more quickly, and the
Senate will be able focus its time and energy on the most important
Executive Branch appointments. In no way does this bill erode the
Senate’s role of “advice and consent.” Rather, it strengthens the
Senate’s power by freeing us up to concentrate on nominees who will
actually shape national policy.”
This is very concerning, this gives Obama the legal right to hire who he
wants without approval from the senate for the following positions.

More freedom for Obama, less accountability, and the ability to control.
Note: Homeland Security, DOD, and FEMA are on this list. Scarey thought indeed. I wonder if the
same people who did President Obama’s background check will be doing theirs also?

Obama’s ‘Enemies List’ Expands To Include
Military Heroes
by Tim Brown
August 21, 2012

The Obama campaign officially recognizes members of America’s elite special forces units as
enemies now. The Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund that put out a video campaign
against Barack Obama is now the target of the campaign’s wrath. That’s right, the commander-
in-chief is now targeting those under his command.
In a recent article at the Obama campaign site, the campaign called the OPSEC PAC’s video “‘Swift
Boat’-style smear tactics against President Obama’s national security record.”
Obviously the “swift boat” reference is pointing to
veterans that launched what was simply a truth
telling video aimed at Senator John Kerry when he
ran for president. That campaign was successful in
torpedoing Kerry’s run for the White House.
In targeting these brave men who have served out
country the Obama campaign wrote:
When President Obama took office, the U.S.
was engaged in two wars and and al-Qaeda’s
leader Osama bin Laden was still at large. As
     commander-in-chief, President Obama
refocused our priorities on the most significant security threats to the country and on
fulfilling our promises to our servicemembers. Under the President, we have eliminated
more than two-thirds of al-Qaeda’s core leadership—including bin Laden.

But a new cadre of conservative groups are trying to “Swift Boat” the President by
manufacturing false attacks about his national security record. A collection of super PACs
and organizations are deploying the same “discredited” and “hardball smear tactics” against
President Obama that were used to attack Sen. John Kerry’s military service in 2004. Each
group follows the same pattern, identifying themselves as separate, nonpartisan former U.S.
military and intelligence operatives who have a “civic duty” to attack the President.

Joel Arends, recipient of the Bronze Star and Chair of Veterans for a Strong America (VSA), said:
The president’s team is more serious about labeling a group of veterans as “swift boaters”
than they are about going after the leakers in his administration. The reality is as simple as
it is disturbing – American lives are now in danger because this White House under the
leadership of President Obama have leaked vital national security secrets. And instead of
appointing a special prosecutor – this President dispatches his campaign team to smear a
group of vets looking out for their buddies in uniform. It just shows the lack of seriousness
on the part of this administration.

If they want to call us swift boaters because we
are looking out for our buddies on the
battlefield that’s fine with me – we’ll take the
political body blows for our comrades in order
to ensure that the American people fully
understand our position on the issue and see
the administration’s intransigence on this issue.

We can only hope that these brave men succeed just as the swift boat veterans did and bring the truth to
bear on the current occupant of the White House.
