Mission -Vision - Commitment
St. Mary Central, in partnership with family, Church, and community
provides a quality Catholic education focused on faith, academics
and service to influence a rapidly changing world.
St. Mary Central High School will be the educational leader in
promoting and fostering student spiritual, academic and social growth.
Commitment to Faith
Faith and worship opportunities are vital to the mission of St. Mary
Central High School. To foster this goal we celebrate all-school
liturgies, chapel visits, prayer services, Eucharistic Adoration,
Reconciliation services, and daily prayer. Service is an integral part
of our Catholic education. Each student is required to do at least sixty
hours of service in four areas. We offer a service morning each year,
and provide service to several organizations.
Welcome to Zephyrfest 2010
Dear Friends of Catholic Education and St. Mary Central High School:
Whether this is your first Zephyrfest or your 25th, we warmly welcome you to tonight’s celebration!
The St. Mary Central High School family has been blessed in countless and significant ways over the years by Zephyrfest.
Never losing sight of the reason for the occasion, hundreds of volunteers come together each year to ensure the vitality
and impact of Catholic education in our community. As you visit different areas of the venue this evening, take note of the
placards expressing the appreciation of SMC students, all of whom directly benefit from the proceeds of this evening’s
There are many entertaining and exciting opportunities at tonight’s event for you to participate in! Would you enjoy a trip
for four to San Francisco, a wine cooler, hunting trip, big screen TV or a cash prize? Try your luck at our raffles! Bountiful
oral and silent auction items await your bid and the Wheel of Good Fortune is a chance to have fun and collect cash and
prizes. And don’t forget the Key Club with the pristine vintage Chevy convertible!
Kindly keep in mind this enjoyable event has a serious purpose. Every dollar earned this evening will go directly to support
the programs, innovations and educational & co-curricular experiences that set St. Mary Central High School apart in our
community. Your active participation will help to nurture the value of an outstanding Catholic education.
Thank you for your generous support, and may God bless you.

St. Mary Central High School Twin City Catholic Educational System
Thank You, Zephyrfest Volunteers Past and Present!
From those first seeds planted in 1986, Zephyrfest has grown to become one of the most successful school fundraisers
in the United States. Through the years, different ideas have been tried and improvements have been implemented.
But the heart of Zephyrfest—the support and commitment of the community, has not changed and indeed continues to
grow and flourish.
We are truly grateful that for twenty-five years, Zephyrfest volunteers and supporters have been a key component in
maintaining and enhancing the quality of every student’s experience at St. Mary Central High School.
By embracing new innovations while holding firmly to the foundations of faith and academic quality, St. Mary Central
is still leading the way. Beginning next fall, SMC will be the first school in the Fox Cities to implement a one-to-one
laptop program. In addition, the school has a proud history of meeting individual student’s needs, excellent ACT
scores, and strong faith and community, as well as the opportunity to participate in a variety of co-curricular activities.
Not surprisingly, SMC’s enrollment continues to climb, contrary to national and local trends. Next year’s freshman class
will be at capacity!
With grateful hearts, we acknowledge the hundreds and hundreds of volunteers who have supported our school over
the years and made this legacy of tremendous opportunities possible.

Who wouldn’t want their
child to learn more?
TCCES students experience lower student to teacher classroom
ratios. That means your child will receive more effective teaching
and more focused learning.
Students from small class sizes:
• score higher on tests
• are more likely to enroll in honor classes
• are more likely to take the ACT or SAT exams
• are more likely to go to college
