C Almighty God, you have
    promised through your Son

       50th Anniversary
    Re-Dedication of Grace
P Let the doors of Grace Lutheran
    Church be opened for the
preaching of the saving Word of
    God according to the
    confessions of the Evangelical
    Lutheran Church…
P …for the administration of the
    holy Sacraments according to
the institution of Christ, and for
offering to God the sacrifice of
    praise and thanksgiving, in the
name of the Father and of the
 Son and of the Holy Spirit.
C Amen
P Our Lord Jesus commanded
    Baptism, saying to His disciples:
    “Therefore go and make
    disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and
    of the Holy Spirit…
P …teaching them to observe all
    that I have commanded you.”
The holy apostles of the Lord
    have written: “The promise is
for you and your children,” and
    “Baptism now saves you.”
P Will you, People of Grace, do
    what our Lord Jesus has
commanded of you – to make
    disciples of all nations?

C We will, and we ask God to
    help and guide us.
P In the reading of the Holy
    Scripture we hear God speaking
His Word of salvation to us,
which is, “a lamp to our feet
and a light to our path.” Our
    Lord Jesus went into the
    synagogue on the Sabbath day
and stood up to read God’s holy
    Word.
P Will you, People of Grace,
    follow his example, reading the
    Scriptures so that others may
    hear God’s gracious Word of
    life?

C We will, and we ask God to
    help and guide us.
P Our Lord Jesus Christ preached
    and taught repentance and the
    forgiveness of sins, and after
    His resurrection sent His
    disciples out, saying: “Go into
all the world and preach the
    gospel to the whole creation.”
P He stepped into Simon Peter's
boat, and from it taught the
    crowds, thus making an
    ordinary place a pulpit.
P Will you, People of Grace, use
    those ordinary times and
    ordinary places to proclaim
    God’s saving and merciful
message so that others may be
    brought to know Jesus?

C We will, and we ask God to
    help and guide us.
P People of Grace, you have
    made these promises before
God and in the presence of
    your brothers and sisters in
Christ. Look around you and be
aware that you are not alone in
    the fulfilling of this covenant…
P …but are joined by a multitude
of saints. May He, who is the
reason we gather, give you the
    strength and joy to complete
    what has been started.

C Amen
P The Lord be with you.
C And also with you.
P Let us pray together:
C Almighty and most merciful
    God, though You are not
    contained in houses built by
    human hands, we pray that
You will be pleased to dwell
    with us at Grace…
C …that we may make known
    Your love and salvation to
    all peoples. Be present
    wherever we are gathered
    to receive Your forgiveness,
    hear Your holy Word, and
    praise Your holy name…
C …Through the same Jesus
    Christ, Your Son, our Lord,
    who lives and reigns with
You and the Holy Spirit, one
    God, now and forever.
    Amen.
    Benediction and Dismissal
P The Lord bless you and keep
you. The Lord make his face
shine on you and be gracious to
you. The Lord look upon you
with favor and give you peace.
All this in the name of the
Father and of the  Son and of
     the Holy Spirit.
C Amen
P People of Grace, “let your light
so shine that others may see
    your good works and glorify
    your Father in heaven.”

C We will, and we ask God to
    help and guide us.
P Go in peace. Serve the Lord.
C Thanks be to God!
