1 DOEL EN TOEPASSINGSGEBIED
Deze instructie geldt voor het certificeren van paarden ten behoeve van de export naar Egypte en beschrijft de voorwaar-
den die worden gesteld aan de invoer in Egypte, de controles die ten behoeve van de certificering moeten worden uitge-
voerd door de VWA, en de gegevens die het bedrijfsleven ter controle aan de VWA moet aandragen.
Over de certificeringseisen ten behoeve van de export van paarden naar Egypte zijn officiële bilaterale afspraken gemaakt.
Deze afspraken zijn BINDEND. Van deze instructie kan derhalve niet worden afgeweken.

4 WERKWIJZE
De export van paarden naar Egypte is toegestaan.
4.1 Paarden (tijdelijk)

Toelichting bij het certificaat:
Verklaring 1:
Deze verklaring kan worden afgegeven na controle van de dierziektesituatie. Informatie over de dierziektesituatie is te vin-
den op de intranetsite van de afdeling VWA Incident en Crisiscentrum (VIC) of is direct opvraagbaar bij deze afdeling.
Verklaring 2:
Deze verklaring kan na controle worden afgegeven. ”on the day of shipment” hoeft niet letterlijk worden genomen. Hier
kan gelezen worden “prior to shipment”. Dit is ter beoordeling van de certificerend VWA-dierenarts.

Deze verklaring kan na controle worden afgegeven. ”on the day of shipment” hoeft niet letterlijk worden genomen. Hier

Verklaring 4:
Deze verklaring kan worden afgegeven na controle van de dierziektesituatie van het bedrijf waar het dier/de dieren is/zijn
gestald (“resident”). Informatie over de dierziektesituatie is te vinden op de intranetsite van de afdeling VWA Incident en
Crisiscentrum (VIC), of is direct opvraagbaar bij deze afdeling.
Verklaring 5:
Deze verklaring kan worden afgegeven op basis van een onderliggende verklaring met gelijke strekking van de aan het
bedrijf verbonden dierenartspracticus, aangeleverd door de belanghebbende.
Verklaring 6:
Deze verklaring kan worden afgegeven na controle en op basis van een onderliggende verklaring met gelijke strekking
van de aan het bedrijf verbonden dierenartspracticus, aangeleverd door de belanghebbende.
Verklaring 7:
Deze verklaring kan na controle worden afgegeven op basis van de negatieve laboratoriumuitslagen voor de genoemde
testen (en eventueel de vaccinatiegegevens van de paarden, ingevuld en ondertekend door de aan het bedrijf verbonden
dierenartspracticus), aangeleverd door belanghebbende.
Verklaring 8:
Deze verklaring kan na controle worden afgegeven op basis van de vaccinatiegegevens van de paarden, ingevuld en onder-
tekend door de aan het bedrijf verbonden dierenartspracticus en aangeleverd door belanghebbende.

kend door de aan het bedrijf verbonden dierenartspracticus en aangeleverd door belanghebbende.
Verklaring B kan afgegeven worden op basis van EU- en nationale regelgeving.
5 BEVOEGDHEDEN EN VERANTWOORDELIJKHEDEN
De VWA-dierenarts is bevoegd en verantwoordelijk voor het afgeven van het certificaat.
6 TOELICHTING
In juli 2011 zijn met Egypte afspraken gemaakt over de export van paarden. Deze instructie en de bijgevoegde certificaten
vormen de weerslag van deze afspraken.

1. It comes from a country where the following diseases are compulsorily notifiable: African horse sickness, Dourine,
Glanders, Equine Encephalomyelitis (of all types including V.E.E.), Equine Infectious Anemia, Vesicular Stomatitis, Ra-
bies, Anthrax;
2. It has been examined at the day of shipment and shows no clinical signs of diseases, free from external parasites and
fit to travel;
3. Shows no clinical signs of African horse sickness, Dourine, Glanders, Equine Encephalomyelitis (of all types including
V.E.E.), Equine Infectious Anemia, C.E.M., Equine Influenza, Equine Piroplasmosis, Equine Rhinopneumonitis, West
Nile fever, Equine Viral Arteritis on the day of shipment;
4. Were kept for the 6 months prior to shipment in an establishment where no case of Dourine, Glanders, Equine En-
cephalomyelitis (of all types including V.E.E.), Equine Infectious Anemia was officially reported during that period;
5. The establishment from which the horses are exported is not infected by CEM 60 days prior to shipment;
6. Were maintained free from ticks by preventive treatment when necessary during the 30 days prior to shipment;
7. Exported horses have been submitted with negative results to the following diagnostic tests in approved laboratories:
a) On samples of blood taken within 30 days of export on the ........................................................... :

(1) At least two primary vaccinations against Equine Influenza, given between 21 and 42 day apart.
