DEPARTS: June 12, 2012
Day 1 - All aboard, as we step back in history and travel southward to Williamsburg, Virginia (the capital city
of colonial Virginia). We’ll travel through Pennsylvania, stopping for breakfast, then on through Maryland into
Virginia, where we’ll stop for lunch. Later we’ll check into the Clarion Hotel Historic District in Williamsburg,
Virginia, our accommodations for the next three nights. The Clarion is located just across the street from
Colonial Williamsburg Historic District. Tonight dinner (included) is at the hotel.
Day 2 - This morning after a full buffet breakfast (included) we will begin our guided tour of Colonial
Williamsburg. The purpose of this beautifully restored village is to accurately recreate the environment of the
men and women of the 18th Century Williamsburg. A highlight of the day will be a visit to the Governor’s
Palace, symbolizing the power and prestige of the crown in Colonial Virginia. The Governor’s Palace was the
residence of seven British governors and the first two governors of the Commonwealth of Virginia - Patrick
Henry and Thomas Jefferson. The elegant household has inventories of colonial governors Fauiewr, Botetourt,
and Dunmore. You will also have time to tour, shop, and dine in Williamsburg on your own. Following dinner
on your own we’ll visit the Yankee Candle Company. New to Williamsburg is its 10,000 square feet of unique,
interactive shopping and fun entertainment is far more than you can imagine. Shop at one of the world's largest
candle stores with 250,000 candles and more than 150 different scents.
Day 3 - Today enjoy a buffet breakfast (included). The best of Europe is yours today as we visit “The Old
Country” - BUSCH GARDENS, Williamsburg. Nestled in 360 acres of beautiful Virginia forest, “The Old
Country” offers the sensations, thrills, and charm of Europe for only a fraction of the cost. A world of
excitement awaits you in the four dazzling regions, which comprise “The Old Country” . . . that is, England,
France, Germany, and Italy. Enjoy all the shows and food in each country.
Day 4 - This morning after a buffet breakfast (included) we will stop at Historic Jamestown, for a guided tour of
the first permanent English settlement in North America. On May 13, 1607, 104 English men and boys landed
here to carve a small settlement out of the wilderness. You can experience some of what those early adventurers
encountered. We’ll enjoy lunch here on our own before we board our coach for the return trip home. Happy
will be our memories of this colonial visit.
TOUR PRICE INCLUDES: Round trip transportation via deluxe video equipped King Coal Tour motor
coach, accommodations for three nights, 1 day admission to Williamsburg, 1 day admission to Busch Gardens,
tours, 3 buffet breakfasts, 1 dinner, all taxes, and luggage handling.
