Newsletter No 9 - Spring 2009
Hello Everyone
Greetings to you all in this season of greetings, as newborn and reborn things are appearing
all around us and brightening our world. I trust this is bring you a quickening of energy and a
heightening of inspiration as you feel new possibilities for your own lives stirring inside you.
It’s a wondrous season to be out in the world, taking time to simply enjoy what’s happening
all around us. Could we ever fathom just what it is that causes a daffodil to come surging up
from the dark, cold soil and open its splendid heart to the sun? Or what the impulse is within a
bare tree that reveals itself to our eyes as pink blossom? What if we take a moment to pause in
our busy lives, look deeply into the face of a single blossom, and open to the wonderment of
what it is made of, how it got here… The poet Rumi says that plant varieties interpret qualities
inside the earth. What does this suggest about a whole treeful of blossom; about our
astounding Planet Earth and what is actually on offer here?
We receive so much from beauty. Our hearts can’t help responding to it. Beauty has the
most wonderful and uplifting effect on us, like a profoundly beneficent, refreshing and nourishing
soul food. Do we ever ask why our planet never ceases lavishing us, embracing and enhancing
our lives, with myriad forms of Beauty?
Surely Beauty is the manifest love of our mothering Earth, just as Light is the manifest love
of our fathering sky. What if we would simply let ourselves feel, as we take each breath of
Spring’s beauty, how loved we are in every moment; how many and varied are the reassurances
of that love. The hurts, failures and disappointments of our human lives and circumstances can
overwhelm us at times, and make us feel bereft of love. Yet, if we really let ourselves see and
feel what Beauty is, and why it exists in such profusion all around us, how could we ever doubt
that Love is showing us its presence?
May Beauty fill your heart with a sense of being loved this Spring.
A Special Welcome to New Readers Around the Country
This Winter Luna House has been privileged to meet many inspiring women in
workshops beyond its home territory of Christchurch. It is such a joy to see the seeds of
Conscious Menstruality sprouting and growing around the country. I send special greetings
to those of you in Nelson, New Plymouth and Hamilton who have recently joined the ever-
expanding community of Conscious Menstruality practitioners. It is your response and
recognition that will spread the consciousness of what we are and what we are part of from
woman to woman, helping us to heal ourselves and our ailing planet.
Luna House loves to travel, and can offer a variety of presentations and workshops to
suit local needs. More travel plans are in the pipeline, so if you know of women or networks
in any part of the country who would like to receive this knowledge, do get in touch so that
timing and travel can be arranged as effectively as possible.
And Because Change Creates More Change… A Note for Christchurch Readers
The increasing volume of requests for a variety of Luna House presentations calls for more
flexible planning, and makes it harder to include everything in one newsletter. I do hope to offer
more events for Christchurch women than are listed in this newsletter, especially a free
introductory evening and more of the half-day workshops in the Sacred Sexuality series. I will
advertise these as timeslots become available, so stay tuned to see what comes up during the
rest of 2009. I appreciate your ongoing patience while Luna House changes and grows. I am
very aware of requests and suggestions from some of you that have not yet been incorporated.
I have not forgotten them, and still hope to include them as and when I can.

Luna House presentations can be adapted and arranged (nationwide) on request for
Professional Groups, Workplace Seminars, Agencies working for and with women, Couples,
Men, and special interest groups, such as women who have experienced hysterectomies, etc.
This also includes the popular “What Shall I Tell My Daughter?” workshop for mothers and
carers of girls.

Sacred Sexuality 1
A half-day workshop offering participants an opportunity to open to this tender
dimension of our lives in a healing and very conscious way. For graduates of previous Luna
House courses, it will invite you to take a further and deeper step into your Conscious
Menstruality in the company, wisdom and support of other women.
[Please note: this workshop is a pre-requisite for Sacred Sexuality 2 and 3]
