Student Centered Objectives:
Math: TSW order numbers 1-100, use ordinal numbers to show position; identify greater
or lesser number; organize and represent data in a graph; ask and answer questions about
the data; begin using strategies to solve word problems; find sums to 12; subtract from 12
and less; fact families; missing addends

Reading: TSW ask and answer questions about story details; identify the main topic of a
text; retell stories; describe story elements; read short vowel words; recognize features
of a complete sentence; decode regularly spelled one syllable words

Language Arts: TSW identify nouns as words that name people, places, things; relate
stories to personal experience, identify subjects and verbs; plural nouns; common /proper
nouns; compound subjects

Spelling Words: differentiated weekly word sort (plus 5 differentiated Word Builders)

Homework: Homework will be assigned nightly and will include assignments in all
subject areas throughout the week. Homework will be checked daily and will be a
portion of the student’s final grade.

Reading: Students must read for 15 minutes every night. A parent must sign the reading
log placed on the homework sheet every night. Students who meet reading guidelines
will attend the school wide reading celebration at the end of the nine weeks.
