                                   APRIL Meeting
                               Wednesday April 16, 2008

                                      Clam Boil
 Our great kitchen crew will be serving the best clam boil on the East Coast for
everyone in attendance, $12.00 per person served at 7:00 PM. We apologize for
    the price increase, but seafood prices have risen drastically this winter.
                          Meeting to follow at 8:00 PM.

                                           Ladies Night
BUFFET DINNER with the OCEAN STATE FOLLIES, Wharf Tavern, Warren, on Sat.
April 19th at 6:30 PM. Preferential seating (and maybe an impromptu song or two) to
the West Barrington Men’s Club. Dinner is The Ensign’s Buffet including chicken
piccata, stuffed fillet of sole, jasmine rice, green beans almandine, sinful mud pie, coffee
& tea. Price for the buffet, show, tax & tip is $45.00 per person. Contact Steve Thomas at
289-2221 to reserve your places for you and your significant other. Tickets will be
available at the April meeting or send your check to the WBMC PO Box.

                          WBMC Horse Shoe Tournament

Wednesday, May 21, 2008. The 3rd annual tournament will be held on the
grounds of the American Legion hall. Sign up at the April meeting.

Steak Fry: June 20th More information to follow.
Paw Sox: June 25, 2008: The $15 cost includes a tailgate party behind McCoy
stadium before the 7:00 PM game. This event always sells out fast. Contact Tony
Brandao for further info.

Annual Golf Tournament: This year’s tournament will be held on Saturday,
July, 19 at the Cranston Country Club. There will be a 1:30 PM shotgun start.
Additional details to follow.

                      WBMC SPORTS
       The team standings at week 28 are: Souza, Casey, Cross
       Petsch, Wessner, Violett. No one has yet caught Gary Violet
       with his high average: 129, high game: 197 & high series: 456

Monday Golf:
      Practice round will be held April 14, league play will begin on April 21. Last
      year’s golfers who are not playing or anyone who has questions should
      call Bob Howe at 245-2342 or Ray Ethier at 728-0693. Openings for
      additional golfers are available.

Thursday Golf:
      The Thursday league will begin April 17th at Swansea Country Club
      with a tee time of 4:45 PM. Any questions regarding Thursday golf can be
      directed to Tom Jordan at 245-2876 or Jerry Bartone at 431-1332.

As the cost of producing and mailing the newsletter is again going up, we'd like to
give the members the opportunity to sign up to have the club newsletter delivered
right to their e-mail address. A sign up sheet will be available at the meeting and
we'll have an option on the website to sign up in the coming months.

                               Dues and Ads
For members who have not had a chance to see the treasurer, please note that
annual dues are now past due. A reinstatement fee of $5 may be added to the
annual dues of $25 for those wishing to remain an active member.
Advertisements not paid for by the end of April will be removed and replaced by
those on our waiting list. Any member who does not pay their dues will not
be able to participate in any club sponsored events including golf &
bowling. If you have questions regarding your payment status, contact our
Treasurer: Mark Moura 247-1604 or see him at the April meeting
                             Tiny Martin Scholarship
   Applications are available on the club’s website. This year’s scholarship is
   $650.00 and is open to any member’s son, daughter, stepson or stepdaughter
   who will be attending college in the fall of 2008. The recipient will be randomly
   selected at the June Steak Cookout. Please have all applications completed and
   turned in by June 1st. If you do not have web access, contact any e-board
   member for an application
