Libra Dance Academy is now well under way into term one and we are delighted with the progress of all our students.
The Faculty
Libra Head of Performing Arts Academy, coach Suzi trained at Performers College in London and Broadway Dance Centre’s The
Pulse, New York City with choreographers such as Brian Friedman, Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio and Wade
Robson. Suzi has been a professional performer, choreographer and teacher for 12 years. Working in all
aspects of the performing arts industry such as theatre with jazz companies Jazz Art UK and Femme Funk,
corporate gigs with Top Gear and Miles Per Hour (MPH), to pop videos and tours with bands such as ASH,
Fat Boy Slim and Lionel Ritchie, as well as performing and choreographing with Fifa, Hoofbeatz and Arabian
Nights to name a few. Suzi’s passion for the arts is passed to her students, as she brings her experiences
to class. Suzi has 100% pass rate in guiding students through exams and loves being part of the AISA team.
Coach Suzi
Libra Performing Arts Academy coach Amy Crawford hails from Edinburgh and trained at the prestigious
Ballet West and The Performing Arts Studio in Scotland, gaining her BA honours in Dance. Since graduating
Amy has performed professionally in touring shows around the world including The Nutcracker and has
successfully taught and led students through RAD examinations throughout the UK. Amy’s fresh, energized
approach to her work make her a true credit to the team and she is very excited about her new challenge
in the UAE. Amy has thoroughly enjoyed her first few weeks @ Libra PA and AISA.

Hip hop
A fun funky class learning the style of hip hop dance, tricks and street dance. Encouraging interaction for free expression and
free style performing - a hugely popular class with boys and girls alike.
Circus Skills
This specialised curriculum brings together a variety of techniques from all performing arts backgrounds. It nurtures and
encourages each of our student’s unique individual skills, as well as developing new ones, such as the art of magic, hula hooping,
balancing, juggling, choreography, acrobatics and many more. Our circus class has our students working together, developing
confidence and interaction as well as getting a true sense of the art of circus. Libra circus will also be working towards
performing in the end of year Academy Show
Ballet
Offering the very best in Ballet training, through our accreditation from the Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society of
Teachers of Dance, Libra Performing Arts instructors are fully qualified professionals who strive to share their passion for dance
with our students.
Bringing in methodology and musical objectives, along with expression and physical developments the RAD and ISTD are by far
the leaders of curriculum based education for Ballet grades. From pre-primary to vocational grades we nurture and guide our
students towards annual examinations by the board. Ballet involves a commitment and discipline which students carry across
into their everyday life.

Musical Theatre
Bringing the stories to life, which are performed in London’s West end and Broadway, Libra musical theatre classes cover
singing, acting and theatre dance within Musicals. Studying theatre dance, which uses the particular style of dance from the show
and time period, vocal technique for singing and voice projection for drama. Musical Theatre class educates our students on the
‘Musicals’ and takes them through the journey of combining story with song, dance and spoken dialogue. Some famous musicals
include Fame, Billy Elliot, West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Les Misérables, Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, Rent, The Producers, Grease,
The Sound of Music and Wicked. To name a few!
Baby Fusion 3-5 year olds
Based on the latest methods of creative movement, our Baby Fusion class instils the grounds of performing arts which stay’s
with them through-out their training. Through story fun and imagination, we develop the first process of technique within our
little ones. Baby Fusion is an excellent beginners dance class suitable for all between 3 – 5 years old
