30th Anniversary Dinner
Post will celebrate 30 years in November of 2009 and there will be an Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 12 noon. There will be a catered meal provided and all members and guests are invited to attend. Because of the expense and the need to know how many will be coming so we can inform the caterers please call the QM at 417-746-4449 or e-mail at ijkelley@centurytel.net or drop a note to Iris Joe Kelley P.O. Annual Dues Renewal
All Post and Ladies Auxiliary members who are not Life Members are reminded to pay their annual dues now if you have not already done so. Post dues are $25.00 and Ladies Auxiliary dues are $16.00. All dues may be sent to the Post Address at VFW Post 3770, P.O. Box 382, Mtn Grove, Mo 65711-0382 or you can pay them at the next meeting or send to meeting with another member.
Post and Ladies Auxiliary Meetings
The next meeting of the Post will be Saturday, October 10th at 10:00 a.m. A “FREE” breakfast will be ready around 9:00 a.m. Post will be inspected during this meeting so a good turn out would show support for the post. If you have never attended a meeting or if it has been a long time then try to attend and see just what gets done. Call any of the officers for more information. The next meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary will be Monday, October 19 at 10:00 a. m. The Ladies Auxiliary is scheduled to be inspected at this meeting and a well attended meeting will show support for the things the Ladies Auxiliary accomplishes. You may call for more information.
Troop Packages
Post is getting ready to send packages to deployed troopers for Christmas. We need addresses of the troopers. Please, if you know of someone currently serving obtain their APO/FPO address and send it to the Quartermaster. It can be a relative, someone from your church or a neighbor from down the road. Thus far, we have only one address. You can announce it at other organizations you belong to or have your pastor announce it at church. Let’s see how many addresses from this area we can get. Each will also be supplied a international phone card. We will need to send the packages early in November in order to arrive before Christmas.
