When I am analyzing cabins, I concentrate on current and potential income, potential upgrade costs, current and potential return on investment, etc. In other words, I work the numbers. As a potential investor, your use of the cabin may be a very important factor in the purchase. If so, I want to find a good investment potential for you that also fulfills your personal preferences as closely as possible. Here is some information that will help me help you: First, I need to know your budget. Tell me how much you can spend for the total initial investment. PLEASE do not set an arbitrary purchase price. If I know how much you can afford to spend for down payment, closing costs and possible upgrades, I can often construct a deal that allows you to comfortably purchase a property that you might have thought out of your price range. Ask yourself these questions: • For your personal use, what sleeping capacity do you need? • In what sort of setting do you want your cabin? • Mountain view? • Valley view? • Very private? (Difficult to find) • On water? (Very difficult to find) • What amenities are important to you? (i.e. swimming pool, club house, etc.)
If personal use is of little or no concern to you, then just tell me, “Show me the money!” Having this information will allow me to send you offerings that come as close as possible to meeting both your personal and investment needs.
