The JW Marriott Cancun Resort and Spa is the first JW in the Marriott and Renaissance
Caribbean and Mexico Resorts portfolio. The resort caters to the discerning traveler seeking a
lodging experience of high comfort and prestige with an emphasis on personal service.
LOCATION: The JW Marriott Cancun Resort and Spa is located in the
heart of Cancun’s hotel district, on a beautiful stretch of
Caribbean beach on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. The JW
Marriott Cancun Resort and Spa is adjacent to the
CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort; the two resorts are
connected by a “Skywalk.”
Just two miles south of the convention center and
shopping district, and approximately eleven miles from the
Cancun International Airport, the resort is a two-hour drive
from several historic Mayan ruin sites and ecological parks.
Cancun is easily accessible from most major U.S. cities.
Airlines that service Cancun include American,
Continental, Delta, United, Northwest, US Airways,
Mexicana and Aeromexico.
Visitors need proof of citizenship and a photo I.D.
Residents of the U.S. and Canada may submit a valid
passport, birth certificate or affidavit of birth, or a valid U.S.
voter's registration card.

ACCOMMODATIONS: 448 guest rooms including 74 suites, each with its own
spacious private balcony and ocean view. All rooms
feature: twice daily maid service; bathrobes and slippers;
purified water systems; individual climate control; remote-
controlled color television with Spanish networks and U.S.
cable; two-line phones with voicemail; in-room safe; in-
room coffee maker, mini bar, scale, iron, ironing board, hair
dryer and Express Check In/Check Out. All bathrooms
have a double vanity sink area and bathtub separate from
the shower stall. Non-smoking and handicapped rooms are
available.
CLUB 91: Guests have the option of enhancing their resort
experience by staying in the Club 91, a level within the
resort providing specialized services and amenities found
in boutique hotels. Club 91 provides guests with access to
a variety of upgraded services and amenities not available
to other resort guests, such as personalized check-in at the
Club 91 Lounge, preferred Spa reservations and
complimentary access to its 2nd floor, complimentary
airport transportation, high speed internet access, ocean
view rooms, butler service, a departure gift, and much
more. Club 91 guests also have access to the exclusive
Club 91 Lounge during their stay, which offers five daily
food and beverage presentations.
RESTAURANTS: The resort features three restaurants including: Café
Salsa, a casual, Mexican-themed restaurant with indoor
and outdoor dining overlooking the sea, serving breakfast,
lunch and dinner; upscale Gustinos Italian Beach Side Grill
offers specialty cuisine and seafood for lunch and dinner;
and Beach Walk Market and Pantry, a poolside bar and
grill with a mini-market, plus a gourmet deli. The lobby bar
serves cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere with live music
and water views. 24-hour room service is available.
SPA: The most distinctive feature of the JW Marriott Cancun
Resort and Spa is its 35,000 square-foot, three-level spa
that pampers guests in 16 treatment rooms with various
massage therapies, body scrubs and polishes, facial
treatments and healing water baths. The Mayan-inspired
treatments utilize the healing properties of fresh fruit, stone
and crystal, incense, mud and milk. The spa offers
spectacular views of the ocean and lagoon from the
resort’s top floor and also includes state-of-the-art fitness
equipment, a dedicated aerobics room, beauty shop,
indoor lap pool, Jacuzzi and a juice bar.

ACTIVITIES:
Beach/Pools/Lagoon: The resort boasts a picturesque stretch of white sand
beach that gently slopes into the turquoise waters of the
Caribbean Sea. A large, free form infinity pool faces the
ocean and a smaller “adult” pool with swim-up bar offers a
more secluded setting. The resort also has a 20-foot dive
pool, complete with an artificial coral reef, where guests
can learn to snorkel and dive. The dive pool is part of the
lagoon that spans the width of the property.
Sports/Activities: The JW Marriott Cancun has a water sports center
providing various activities for beachgoers. The resort also
features two tennis courts lit for night play, a first class dive
certification center, a sauna and a full-service health club
with views of the ocean and lagoon. The Pok-ta-Pok Golf
Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, is a 15-minute
drive away.
Sightseeing: The Cancun area offers an abundance of attractions and
activities. There are bullfights in the downtown arena,
sailing and snorkeling at Isla Mujeres, deep-sea fishing
excursions, ancient Mayan ruins and more. The concierge
or on-site travel agency can help arrange sightseeing tours
and activities, and provide information about what there is
to do nearby. The resort also offers car rental services.
Shopping: A retail arcade is located within the resort for maximum
guest convenience. In addition, Cancun offers some of the
finest shopping malls in the world with more than 200
boutiques. The duty-free limit for Mexico is $400.
CONFERENCE FACILITIES: The JW Marriott Cancun Resort and Spa offers
approximately 18,600-square-feet of space for corporate
meetings and social events. With a 14,400-square-foot
Grand Ballroom and 12 additional meeting rooms, the
resort can accommodate groups up to 1,800 for a
reception. The ballroom is divisible into eight sections, and
two of the meeting rooms also offer flexible space. There
are outdoor reception areas ideal for more casual
gatherings. A business center offers a library and lounge
area as well as private office space, conference rooms,
workstations, fax, photocopying and secretarial services
and on-site professional meeting planners can handle all
the details of any event. Groups will also receive a
personal concierge while on property.
The in-house audio visual department is available to assist
groups with any technical needs. Marriott's catering
professionals have created a wide range of menus to suit
any function that can be customized upon request.

AWARDS: In 2005, the resort was included in Condé Nast Traveler’s
Gold List and the spa was included in Condé Nast
Travelers spa poll. Readers of Celebrated Living voted the
resort 2nd in the Top 10 Mexico/Central America/South
America section of its Readers’ Choice Platinum List.
Travel + Leisure readers voted the resort 19th among the
“World’s Best Hotels” in Mexico and Central and South
America in 2004. Also in 2004, Travel + Leisure readers
placed the resort 3rd among Mexico properties and 5th in
Mexico and South America; Condé Nast Traveler readers
placed the resort 11th among resorts in Mexico on its Gold
List; and Insurance Conference Planner readers awarded
the resort the “Premium Circle Award”. In 2003, the

Conventions’ Gold Key Award and placed 7th among
