                        Getting Started with Your Farm to School Program

    Introduction to VT FEED and Farm to School in Your Community                  $125
    Expected outcomes: Increased awareness of FEED programs around the state; key indicators of success;
    suggested next steps to go with for group. No mileage charged for this Introduction

    Creating Your Farm to School Vision and Action Plan                            $700
    2 on-site visits and a school community food systems needs assessment and analysis
    Expected outcomes: your own food-based farm to school vision; framework and initial stages of an
    action plan for your own farm to school project; on-site consultation for one hour in one of the 3-C’s
    (Cafeteria, Classroom, Community); suggested next steps such as in-service or professional

    Farm to School and Local Purchasing Consultation, on-site, per consultant
    Half day                                                                          $ 250
    Full day                                                                          $ 400
    Expected outcomes: Cafeteria, Classroom, and/or Community-oriented outcomes are customized and
    varied; FEED supporting activities are based on the school’s action plan
  Note: additional mileage costs ($0.50/mile) from our offices in Montpelier, Richmond, or Shelburne, VT apply.

Professional Development and Training for teachers, foodservice, community
NOTE: content and cost of workshops/courses are all customized based on individual school and staff needs

*NON-CREDIT BEARING – on-site, on-farm, garden, classroom, cafeteria and community-based
              Community-          Workshops:
    Regional/ Community-based Workshops: (1/2 or full day)
    Expected outcomes: multiple school communities within a district or region gain general introduction
    and/ or specific skill-building related to Farm to School work, identifying community resources;
    experiences in all 3 C’s (Classroom, Cafeteria, Community). This is also an opportunity for a
    community-based organization to partner with VT FEED.

    On-              school-
    On-going VT FEED school-based mentorship: our educators work individually with teachers to
    develop and implement food, farm and nutrition units and/or address school community food system
