                                                                                                                                 Greetings ShenVADA,

                                                                                                                                 Is everyone out there trying to stay cool? If you were at the
                                                                                                                                 Shenandoah River Farm Horse Show, it was not too cool out there.
                                                                                                                                 The temperatures were in the 90s and the humidity was up there.
                            VADA is a USDF Group Membership Organization and all members are automatically USDF Group Members.

                                                                                                                                 There was a bit of a breeze but not much. If you are thinking that the

                                                                                                                                 riders were miserable, nothing could be farther from the truth. We
                                                                                                                                 had such a good time!! Robin Hall’s farm was a picture of beautiful,
                                                                                                                                 as usual, and everyone just totally enjoyed the day.

                                                                                                                                 I would say that the July show was filled to capacity. With 61 rides
                                                                                                                                 on the program, I don’t think I could have added any more. With
                                                                                                                                 Nick and Judith announcing on the new sound system and all of the
                                                                                                                                 volunteers in place, this show ran like clockwork and stayed on time
                                                                                                                                 for most of the day. A show this large could not have run this
                                                                                                                                 smoothly without the huge efforts of the volunteers that worked that
                                                                                                                                 day. Great Job Volunteers!!

                                                                                                                                 Now we are off to our next event which is one of our most important.
                                                                                                                                 The Musical Fantasy Freestyle will
                                                                                                                                 be here before you know it. The
                            ShenVADA is a Chapter of the Virginia Dressage Association




                                                                                                                                 sponsorships for the show are so
                                                                                                                                 very important to our club. I am
                                                                                                                                 hoping that all of you will do
                                                                                                                                 everything you can to sell as many
                                                                                                                                 ads as you can and make this a
                                                                                                                                 very good year for ShenVADA.

                                                                                                                                 Every member of ShenVADA benefits from the funds collected from
                                                                                                                                 ads sold for the Musical Freestyle. These funds provide further
                                                                                                                                 education, show equipment, show necessities such as ribbons,
                                                                                                                                 numbers etc and so many other behind the scenes expenses.

                                                                                                                                 So, when you receive your forms in the mail, please do all you can to
                                                                                                                                 sell an ad or two. If you need more forms, you can download them
                                                                                                                                 from our website or just get a message to me and I will send you
                                                                                                                                 some.

                                                                                                                                 Oh, and one other thing I wanted to mention. When you go to a show
                                                                                                                                 and the sun is shining and it’s really hot – Wear Sunscreen!! I look
                                                                                                                                 like a French Fry!!
