General Motors CIO to Deliver Keynote Address at CIO Global Forum
PLEASANTON, Calif., Sept. 23/PRNewswire/ ‐‐ The Telwares CIO Global Forum is pleased to announce that Ralph Szygenda, Group Vice President and Chief Information Officer for General Motors will serve as the opening keynote speaker during the two day event on September 23rd and 24th in Carlsbad, California. Mr. Szygenda’s speech is entitled “Creating Business Value; the IT Business Broker.” Mr. Szygenda joined GM in 1996 as Vice President and Chief Information Officer from Bell Atlantic, where he was Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to that, Szygenda held a number of positions at Texas Instruments, including Vice President for Information Systems and Services and Chief Information Officer. He also served as Vice President and General Manager of TI's Enterprise Systems Business Unit. Mr. Szygenda has been named by NetworkWorld as one of its "Most Powerful People in Networking" and he also belongs to CIO Magazine's CIO Hall of Fame.
