Great News!!! Mrs. Carolyn Johnson has been named the PTA District 12 (metro area) Nurse of the Year!!!! We are so
proud of her! Mrs. Johnson works tirelessly to give care to our students, staff, and parents!! Mrs. Johnson’s name now
has been entered into the State competition! Way to go Mrs. Johnson!

Our fifth grade Georgia Writing Test scores have arrived! Our students did an incredible job in their performance on this
test. Ninety-eight percent of our students passed at Levels 2 and 3 with 33% at Level 3. In addition, all of our students
who participated in our Saturday Writing Academy passed! Student reports will be sent home soon.

Our 3rd-5th grade students are finishing the GA CRCT today. They all have done an amazing job! Our teachers have all
worked hard all year to provide quality instruction so that these tests allow kids to “show what they know”. We expect
that the results of these tests will reflect the quality education that you can expect at Camp Creek!

We are all celebrating tonight at PTA’s annual Family Fun Night! Please come join us as we celebrate a great school

                          HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO..........
Did you know that Gwinnett County is home to the LARGEST Relay For Life event in the WORLD?
That's right, the world. We raise more money and have more participants than any other Relay
event anywhere. That is a record to live up to and keep going for. This year Relay For Life and the
American Cancer Society are Celebrating More Birthdays. With all the generous support that Relay receives, we have
more Cancer Survivors having more birthdays each year. But we need YOUR help! We need Birthday supplies; wrapping
paper, hats, plates, napkins, decorations, anything with Happy Birthday theme. Anything that you could donate would
be appreciated. Just drop it at the front office! Thanks for all your support at Relay. And come by site 379-390 at the
Relay Event on May 7th to see the Parkview Cluster Relay Team in action.

                                            Trickum School Council Elections

Are you interested in serving on Trickum’s Local School Council (LSC)? The school council is an advisory group that is a
resource for providing advice and recommendations for the local school. The LSC meetings focus on issues that impact
student achievement and include
advisement with the Local School Plan of Improvement (LSPI), discipline issues, professional learning, and other
pertinent subjects. In consideration of serving on the committee, we ask that individuals be committed to serving our
community by communicating information through the PTSA, neighborhood associations, or through any other viable
community avenue. If you are interesting in serving, please forward your name, number of children attending TMS, and
a brief statement as to why you would like to serve on LSC, to Lyn Deitrich at the following email address,

We will hold elections on Thursday, April 29, 2010 PTSA Theatre Under the Stars meeting at 6:30 p.m.

For more information about Trickum’s School Council elections, PTA activities and other Trickum news please visit the
school’s website:
