					      Leighton Buzzard Oxjam Music Festival 2012 – Provisional Programme


Saturday 10th March
- Open Air Music in the High Street, Various local musicians and groups. Organised by
  The Peppermint Store. 10.00am – 4.00pm.

 - Oxjam Gig, “Canvas” plus special guests. Leighton Buzzard Theatre, Lake Street,
doors open 6.30pm. Tickets £6.50 from the theatre box office (0300 300 8125) or on the
door.

- Spring Concert, including Rutter “Requiem”, The Linsdale Singers, conductor Dennis
Pim, with Paul Daggett (organ) and Lorna Daggett (soprano). St.Barnabas Church,
7.30pm. Tickets £10 in advance (01525 376572 or www.linsdale.org.uk) or on the door.
Retiring collection for Oxfam.

- Big Oxjam Barn Dance, Brooklands Community Club, Garden Leys Leighton Buzzard.

- Oxjam Sheaf Session, Acoustic music at The Wheatsheaf, with “Jet Lagged Jeff”,
“J'abels”, “Leap of Faith” & “The Trotsky Assortment”. 8.00-11.00pm. Free entry.
Collection for Oxfam.

Friday 16th March
- Jazz Café, The Open Band, Linslade Community Hall (St.Barnabas Church),
8.00pm. Tickets £5 in advance (j.gates@virgin.net or 01525371739 ) , £6.00 on the
door.

- “Fake Jake” pub gig at The Crown, North Street. Free entry. Collection for Oxfam.

- “Carnaby Street” & “The Palms”, pub gig at The Anchor, Tilsworth.

- Mini Band Concert, by the Leighton-Linslade Concert Band, Trinity Methodist Church,

- Orchestral Concert. Leighton Sinfonia; conductor Andrew Hopper, violin Emily
Mowbray. Vandyke Upper School hall, 7.30pm. Tickets £8 (concessions £5).

- “Paradox” pub gig, The Ship, Wing Road, 8.00 – 11.00pm. Free entry. Collection for

After the festival

Friday 6th April (Good Friday)
- Stainer's 'Crucifixion' performed by Leighton Buzzard Festival Singers. St. Mary's
Church, Woburn, 6.30pm. Free entry. Retiring collection for Oxfam.
