METRO COUNCIL
October 2010
The children have returned to school and the cool
breeze of Fall has finally begun. There’s a lot to do
before the holidays. So let’s gear up for Job
Shadowing, Food Drives, Soldier Boxes, and Fund-
raisers for a Cure, school projects and much more. All
we need is for you to get engaged with your time and
your resources. It is a great opportunity to share your
blessing with those in need. As we move into the month
of October, we will be calling on you to help meet the
needs of our community. Please support the many Pioneer projects
that help our schools and communities by

for a cure!
Contact: Debra Agee (da5721@ att.com); To help gain a competitive edge, Legus suggested that
Irma Craig (ic1209@att.com) students "dress appropriately and wear a tie." After hearing
this, one student responded that he did not own a tie.
When Legus heard this, he immediately took off his own
tie and gave it to the student. Legus told him that every
time the student looks at that tie, he wanted the student to
say, "WHEN I am successful, not IF." We have these same
success stories here at Birmingham City Center because
you make the difference. We are scheduled to have a Job
Shadow event October 19th and we need you.
