Dear Readers,
Born during September 2007, iDo is about to complete two years of growth. We asked associates to write a few lines about their experience being a part of this journey. We have carried the responses of a few associates here in this issue. They all have expressed feelings of contentment, satisfaction and fulfillment. Read on to see what they have said ..... We hope you feel inspired to join us in this journey. Your participation is important to us because you are a key person.

Thus Spake...Part 1
The two hours of cleaning at Govt Peripheral Hospital was a humbling and highly fulfilling experience of selfless activity. Contextually I am inspired to quote Swami Chinmayanada of Chinmaya mission having said “When you are born, you must die. Don’t die while living, live after you are dead”. Aneesh N .............................................................................................................................. My experience with iDo has only been in a handful of activities; Though each of the activities were so different than the others, yet the common link for me was the satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment I got for myself. Ankit Mathur ..............................................................................................................................
I am very much satisfied to be a part of iDo. Almost each and every moment spent on iDo initiatives have been exciting and wonderful. Arjun Sundhar ..............................................................................................................................
It is great to be part of an organization with such a humane face.
Hindol Basu .............................................................................................................................. iDo - we can do our bit for society by running our organization in a socially responsible way, and by creating various activities that promote respect for social and environmental issues. Bala M ..............................................................................................................................
iDo is my I.N.S.P.I.R.A.T.I.O.N - Innovative, Nice, Satisfying, Peaceful, Inventive, Realizing, Admirable, Inspiring, Oneness-driven, Novel Experience... Karthik Ramesh .............................................................................................................................. iDo brings a feeling of satisfaction unto people who involve themselves into it . In our run towards achieving our personal and professional goals we forget " to even think of the lesser fortunate ones ". iDo makes you feel that we are blessed and gifted and that we need to help - those who need the help utmost. “The value of help rendered by one who has not counted the cost, or the likely recompense, when assessed, is greater in magnitude than the oceans.” I submit that, the services rendered by iDo to the above Kural. Karthigeyan S .............................................................................................................................. I had just two experiences of participating in iDo. One was the blood donation and the other was experience of cleaning up of a govt hospital at kknagar. It seemed daunting to start with but it was extremely satisfying to help the hospital authorities. Most of the times we all are busy with our family and friends . But if one takes an extra mile ,that Rajesh Natarajan .............................................................................................................................. Through iDo and techSAI - an extended arm of iDo, we have been enthused to do something useful apart from our general day to day work. Be it blood donation, cleaning a general hospital, donating utensils, books, clothes etc. to the needy has given me great happiness and peace of mind. This is the BEST that could have happened to me and I thank D&B for making it possible!! helps each of us have a more matured outlook to one's life.
Rama Muralishanker ..............................................................................................................................
Gives me an opportunity to do whatever little possible to the less privileged people around us. Rama Jayakumar ..............................................................................................................................
Truly Fulfilling!
Ravi Raghavan .............................................................................................................................. To me ISR (Individual Social Responsibility) starts from the food plate by not wasting a bit of food (leave a bit for next generation) by dimming the headlight for the approaching vehicles (You can save a/many lives ) by switching off lights when not in use, by switching off computers when you are not working, by using shared cabs and planting trees, by reducing our carbon foot prints. Let us start our iDo (ISR) by inculcating these in our daily routine.
Govind S .............................................................................................................................. Christmas 2008: we had 30 plus children from hope foundation who all came to our office. There were lots of colorful papers and balloons, however not as colorful as their dreams. There were lots of toffees, candies, cakes and pastries but never they were as sweet as their smile. I laughed, danced, played, smiled and was so happy. I felt so light. Never before I had been like this until I saw them.

iDo is a wonderful opportunity for all associates who want to do service to society but either do not have time or the necessary forum for it. iDo touches and changes 'our' lives more than it changes the ones whom we serve. Premkumar Govindan .............................................................................................................................. iDo has made me to stop and think about my responsibility as an individual to my social network - to give not only materially but also my time.
Caroline George .............................................................................................................................. iDo has been extremely inspiring gesture driven by D&B TU. Very rarely we see organizations taking up activities of corporate social responsibility with such deep interest and utmost care. Most of us question on "why serve?", but only when we experience the joy of serving we change to "why not serve?" I am extremely proud of being a part of this organization. Sudip Bhatia .............................................................................................................................. It has been an experience to reflect on what is that we are giving back to the pool from where we come. It was a humbling experience to visit a few homes and view from the standpoint of the noble souls who run the institutions sacrificing the greener pastures that they had and also the respectful elders who were there. What we are and what we do pales into insignificance in the context of such larger things. It has been a very mentally refreshing and educative experience.
Senthil kannan ..............................................................................................................................
Professionally and spiritually satisfying!
Srinivas Peddada .............................................................................................................................. My experience has been limited to blood donations only where I found about 50% of organization participating actively. Though the experience by personal involvement is limited but it gives a satisfactory feeling representing an organization that can make difference to society. Sukhdev Singh Kohli .............................................................................................................................. Feels great & soul satisfying to be a part of iDo. It has been an immense pleasure and self satisfaction to participate in the activities and contribute to the society in our own way. Thanks of iDo. Venkataraghavan S
