Donegal County Childcare Committee Ltd (DCCC) is a local government-supported agency that

The Early Childhood Education Officer will work on a new DCCC initiative called The
Professional Pedagogy Project (PPP). The PPP is a framework of professional development and
practical supports encompassing a training programme and a variety of follow-on supports aimed
at enabling early childhood service providers to make steady, quantifiable changes and
improvements to their practice over the next 3 years.
Summation of criteria:
     In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Irish childcare sector, including current
        policy developments, national early childhood curriculum and quality frameworks, funding
        structures and mechanisms for support.
     Training, Facilitation and Presentation experience and the experience of working with
        adult learners is essential.
     At least 3 years experience in early childhood care and education at a practical level and
        a graduate level qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education is essential.
     Excellent interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills.
     Proficient IT and administrative abilities with experience in report writing.
     Full and clean driver’s license and access to a car.

Longford Women’s Link is a locally based voluntary organisation in Longford town, providing a
range of services and supports to women and their families. One of the objectives of the
organisation is to support women to access employment/self employment opportunities. The
organisation has been approved for a second round of funding under the Equality for Women
Measure to continue the development and implementation of a mentoring project for women who
are self-employed or would like to become self-employed.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the business environment for potential and new
entrepreneurs through the development of a peer mentoring training and implementation
     Relevant qualifications in enterprise development/community work/gender equality, and
         excellent IT, communication and organisational skills are required for this position.
     Access to a car is also a requirement.
