March 6, 2012 2:50 P.M. The elimination of any carbonated beverages has begun March 9, 2012 First sign of hardship – After a long night of catching up before Spring break I really was craving a Pepsi Friday morning on my way to classes – I felt like it was the only way I would stay awake! Just stuck with water though March 12, 2012 9 P.M. So far the only thing I’ve noticed is that my craving for Pepsi is out of control! Working for a pizzeria there’s soda everywhere and it’s so easy to just put a cup under the fountain and grab a Pepsi or Dr. Pepper. March 14, 2012 11:53 P.M. After another night at work it was hard not to grab a soda. I have noticed another change though. After eating my meals (which always included a soda) I always felt so bloated and “gross”. I always just threw the thought aside and figured I had a small stomach since I am naturally thin. However, since drinking water I’ve noticed I don’t feel as bloated after I eat, and I’m consuming the same amount of food. Definitely something to keep tabs on! March 16, 201212 P.M. After a little over a week of not drinking soda I’ve begun to have slight headaches, especially in the morning. This has only been occurring for two days so it’s something I’ll keep watching. March 20, 2012 The headaches continued to get worse but are now slowly improving. I’ve heard of people having headaches after not drinking coffee so I’m assuming it’s my lack of caffeine. Once I have some water and something to eat the headache usually goes away. March 25, 2012 10:04 P.M. After almost three weeks of not drinking soda I can finally say my craving is starting to subside. It’s becoming much easier to reach for water versus the Pepsi. Also I’ve noticed the bloating I used to experience has definitely gotten better! It never occurred to me that the soda may have been doing that and I’m so happy I’ve found that out, it makes my body feel so much better! March 30, 2012 Glad to say the headaches are officially gone. I also noticed I don’t seem to need the Pepsi in the morning as much to make myself feel more awake. I guess that’s my body just getting used to no caffeine! April 3, 2012 11:30 P.M. My 30 day experiment is almost over. Overall my body definitely feels better and I’m very excited for the changes.
