2015. Pharmaceutical manufacturers both large and mid-sized are aligning resources to design

compliance.

With the recent surge in counterfeit and diverted drugs in the headlines it looks as if the
California serialization and e-pedigree mandates will remain at the forefront for the
pharmaceutical supply chain. After several extensions by the California Board of Pharmacy over
the past decade, their provisions for item level serialization and an e-pedigree will come into
effect January 2015 barring any federal intervention.

The serialization and e-pedigree guide was developed internally as a project management primer
