11   TO     REQUEST     THAT THE DEPARTMENT     OF
12   TRANSPORTATION NAME HIGHLAND AVENUE IN THE
13   CITY OF SPARTANBURG “THOMAS RICE, JR. AVENUE”
14   AND ERECT APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ALONG
15   THIS AVENUE THAT CONTAIN THE WORDS “THOMAS
16   RICE, JR. AVENUE”.

18   Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate
19   concurring:

21   That the members of the General Assembly request that the
22   Department of Transportation name Highland Avenue in the City
23   of Spartanburg “Thomas Rice, Jr. Avenue” and erect appropriate
24   markers or signs along this avenue that contain the words ‘Thomas
25   Rice, Jr. Avenue”.

27   Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
28   the Department of Transportation.
