temporal:      mastoid & styloid processes, external auditory (acoustic) canal, carotid canal, jugular
               foramen, mandibular fossa, zygomatic process
sphenoid:      sella turcica, great wing, sinuses, optic canal
ethmoid:       cribriform plate, crista galli, ethmoid sinuses, perpendicular plate, nasal conchae
mandible:      mandibular angle, mandibular ramus, mental foramen, head, mandibular notch
nasal, vomer, lacrimal, maxilla(e)-sinuses, zygomatic, hyoid

Know the parts of a typical vertebra: pedicle, lamina, body (centrum), transverse & spinous processes,
                vertebral foramen ,intervertebral foramen, superior/inferior articular facets or surfaces
Know atlas, axis; dens or odontoid process
2 characteristics of each: cervical, thoracic, lumbar
sacral crest and foramen
abnormal curvatures of the spine: lordosis, kyphosis, scoliosis

Know how many true, false, and floating ribs and parts of the sternum (manubrium & jugular notch,
             body, xiphoid process)
Ribs:        tubercle, angle, head: how does the rib articulate with the thoracic vertebrae?
