                                   CONFIDENCE
Confidence may be defined as firm belief, trust, or reliance. It is the belief in one’s
own abilities – the feeling you can do something. Confident people are able to focus
on “the big picture” and not on temporary setbacks or failures. A confident person
evaluates his or her achievements according to his or her abilities, not in comparison to
the abilities of others.

WORDS TO LIVE BY
Proverbs 3:24-26
24when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be

sweet. 25Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
26for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.

Proverbs 14:26
In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence, and his children will have refuge.

Hebrews 13:6
So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man
do to me?”

POINTS TO PONDER
“If the creator had a purpose in equipping us with a neck, he surely meant us to stick it
out.” Arthur Koestler

“With confidence, you can reach truly amazing heights; without confidence, even the
simplest accomplishments are beyond your grasp.” Jim Loehr

“Confidence is the only bond of friendship.” Publilius Syrus
