The General Manager will be responsible for leading a team of professionals. The GM should have significant fabrication, masking and automation experience, in addition to proven managerial performance. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operations of the production units in accordance with company policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines and regulations. The position is responsible for safe maintenance of the facility. Ensure increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.
Oversee and manage production planning and scheduling. Ensure appropriate purchasing for all manufacturing / engineering equipment and supplies. Manage quality assurance - setting quality standards, maintaining quality. Complete monthly formal reports of all functional performance. Responsible for manufacturing and engineering policy development, installation and maintenance. Manage plant & equipment preventative maintenance programme. Ensure on-going process and manufacturing capability improvement. Negotiate pricing directly with clientele. Agree to achievable delivery timetables. Train the internal trainers. Set training standards and operation performance testing. Develop annual budgets and targets. Manage compliance with Provincial/Territorial, Local and Federal regulations. Ensure compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects.
