Exit Interview Policy
Intent
It is the policy of (Company Name) to ensure that exit interviews and/or exit questionnaires are completed by employees who are leaving the employment of (Company Name) due to resignation, retirement, termination or layoff. Participation in (Company Name) exit interviews and/or exit questionnaires will be strictly voluntary.
Objective
The objectives of this policy are to: Identify reasons why employment is being terminated with a view to improving the work environment; Discuss and confirm their reasons for leaving; Offer staff the opportunity to share feedback on the quality of their work experience; Encourage staff to suggest areas for improvement.
Definitions
Exit questionnaire: A confidential questionnaire which is completed by an employee who is leaving the employ of (Company Name). Exit interview: A confidential interview conducted by Human Resources with an employee who is leaving the employ of the (Company Name).
