                HGTV URBAN OASIS GIVEAWAY 2011

BALTIMORE—[For Immediate Release–October 25, 2011] Tears of joy flowed
when Deborah Robertson of Baltimore was surprised Monday night with the news that
she won the 2011 HGTV Urban Oasis, a luxury one-bedroom residence on the 35th floor
of Trump International Hotel & Tower® Chicago. The fully-furnished residence, with
sweeping vistas of the city’s skyline, was custom-designed by HGTV’s Vern Yip and is
the centerpiece of a grand prize package valued at more than $750,000. Robertson’s
emotional reaction to winning will be televised as part of the HGTV Urban Oasis
Giveaway 2011 special on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

“So excited,” said Robertson upon hearing the news. “I feel like I’m going to faint. I
never in a million years expected this!”

Robertson, 57, and her sister were relaxing after work in the home where they were
raised when Yip approached her with the news. An enthusiastic HGTV fan whose name
was randomly drawn from almost 14 million entries, Robertson entered the second
annual HGTV Urban Oasis Giveaway twice a day, seven days a week throughout the
sweepstakes entry period.

Yip, a favorite with viewers and a member of the judging panel on the top rated series
HGTV Design Star, decorated the high-rise residence with an eclectic mix of period
pieces and contemporary décor reflective of Chicago’s heart and soul. “This homage to
Chicago showcases an easy juxtaposition of old and new that is representative of the
city,” said Yip. The residence includes one bedroom, 1½ baths, a fully appointed
gourmet kitchen and floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking views of the city’s
skyline, the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. Owners also benefit from full access to
the tower’s five star services such as a state-of-the-art spa and fitness center, complete
with a 72’ indoor pool, a Michelin-rated fine-dining restaurant, and a 24-hour concierge,
among others.

“What a thrill to watch Debbie’s reaction when she learned that she had won the HGTV
Urban Oasis,” said HGTV President Jim Samples. “Millions of HGTV fans who are

fascinated by city-living participated in this year’s giveaway. Our lucky winner will have
the opportunity to live in a walkable and vibrant downtown location, surrounded by
Chicago’s unique restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. This home and its interior
design reflect Chicago’s rich cultural and architectural heritage.”
