Embedding a YouTube Video into PowerPoint 2007 1. Click the Office Button 2. Select PowerPoint Options 3. Click on Show Developer Tab in the Ribbon and Click OK 4. Click on the Developer Tab 5. Click on More Options (Wrench and Hammer Icon) 6. Scroll to and Select Shockwave Flash Object 7. Click OK 8. The mouse cursor will change from an arrow to an + 9. Drag and Drop to create the Flash object (It is currently blank and contains an X through the center) 10. Open your web browser and locate your Flash Video. Copy the URL. 11. Select the Object and Right-Click opening the Short- Cut Menu. Select Properties. 12. Insert the URL under the Movie Category. 13. Delete the “watch?” portion of the URL and change the “=” to a “/” symbol. 14. Set Loop to False (The movie is currently set to continually loop or play) 15. Set Playing to False (The movie is currently set to play as soon as you start your presentation. By setting it to false, it will play when you reach that slide. Congratulations you’ve just embedded a Flash video into your PowerPoint Presentation!
