SYSTEM/SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
   Windows 95, 98 or NT
   Access 2000
   PKZIP
   32 Megabytes of RAM (minimum)
   166 Megahertz Pentium Processor or equal (minimum)




FILES REQUIRED TO RUN PROGRAM
   CCOL2000.MDB (Program file)
   CCOLDATA2000.MDB (Data file)




DELIVERY OF THE PROGRAM TO SHIPS
There are two ways the program will be delivered to the Ships in the Fleet. The CCOL.ZIP file
and all documentation will either be mailed to the Ship on a 3.5” Floppy Disk, or the CCOL.ZIP
file and all documentation will be e-mailed to a point of contact on the ship. The Installation
directions are valid for both methods.

SINGLE WORKSTATION INSTALLATION
Installation
   1. Create the folder CCOL Database under the C:\Program Files\ directory to store
      program and data files.
   2. Unzip the contents of the CCOL2000.zip file into the C:\Program Files\CCOL
      Database directory using WinZip.
   3. Activate Access 2000
   4. Select the Open an Existing Database radio button
   5. Highlight More Files… and click the OK button




   6. Navigate to the “C:\Program Files\CCOL Database” folder
   7. Highlight CCOL2000.MDB and click the Open button

  8. The first time the database is opened, you might see the following CCOL Missing Table
     Alert. If this alert appears, click Yes.




  9. Navigate to the “C:\Program Files\CCOL Database” folder

  10. Select the CCOLDATA2000.MDB file and click Open




  11. A message will appear stating that All the tables have been successfully attached. Click
      OK




  12. The CCOL Database program main menu screen will appear ready for use.

UNIT LEVEL NETWORK INSTALLATION
Server Installation
   1. Have a network administrator create a directory on the Backup Domain Controller (BDC)
      called “CCOL Database”.
   2. Have the network administrator set up the network permissions on the “CCOL
      Database” directory to restrict access to the CCOL database to authorized personnel.
   3. Unzip the contents of the CCOL2000.zip file into the “CCOL Database” directory
      using WinZip.


Workstation Installation
   1. Create the folder CCOL Database under the C:\Program Files\ directory to store the
      Program file.
   2. Navigate to the “CCOL Database” directory on the network BDC
   3. Copy the file CCOL2000.MDB to the C:\Program Files\CCOL Database directory
   4. Activate Access 2000
   5. Select the Open an Existing Database radio button
   6. Highlight More Files… and click the OK button




   7. Navigate to the “C:\Program Files\CCOL Database” folder
   8. Highlight CCOL2000.MDB and click the Open button

FORCE LEVEL NETWORK INSTALLATION
Server Installation

      Database”.

  1. Click on the Start / Programs / Windows NT Explorer
  2. Navigate to the C:\PROGRAM FILES\CCOL DATABASE directory
  3. Ensure the CCOL DATABASE directory is selected, then from the menu bar click File |
     Delete




  4. When prompted to Confirm Folder Delete, Click Yes.

UNIT LEVEL UNINSTALL PROCEDURES
Workstation Uninstall Instructions
(Note: Uninstalling the database from the workstation will not affect the data stored centrally on the Backup
Domain Controller. Others will still be able to use the program.)

    1. Open Windows NT Explorer by Clicking on Start / Programs / Windows NT Explorer
    2. Navigate to the C:\PROGRAM FILES\CCOL DATABASE directory
    3. Ensure the CCOL DATABASE directory is selected, then from the menu bar click File |
       Delete




    4. When prompted to Confirm Folder Delete, Click Yes.



Server Uninstall Instructions
(Warning: Uninstalling the database from the server will affect everyone using the program. The data for the
program is stored centrally on the Backup Domain Controller. Removal of the files will result in no one being able
to use the program. This uninstall should only be performed when the desire is to remove the CCOL database
completely. The only way to recover the data once deleted will be from a backup. THIS UNINSTALL SHOULD
BE COMPLETED BY A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR.)

    1. Have the network administrator delete the folder “CCOL Database” and all its contents,
       located on the BDC.

Server. Other users will still be able to use the program.)

    1. Open Windows NT Explorer by Clicking on Start / Programs / Windows NT Explorer
    2. Navigate to the C:\PROGRAM FILES\CCOL DATABASE directory
    3. Ensure the CCOL DATABASE directory is selected, then from the menu bar click File |
       Delete




    4. When prompted to Confirm Folder Delete, Click Yes.



Server Uninstall Instructions
(Warning: Uninstalling the database from the server will affect everyone using the program. The data for the
program is stored centrally on the Application Server. Removal of the files will result in no one being able to use the
program. This uninstall should only be performed when the desire is to remove the CCOL database completely.
The only way to recover the data once deleted will be from a backup. THIS UNINSTALL SHOULD BE
COMPLETED BY A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR.)

    1. Have the network administrator delete the folder “CCOL Database” and all its contents,
       located on the Application Server.
