                              Position Specific Training”
                                              Dates and Location

Position Specific Training is broken up into three sessions. You are required to attend all for the full
completion of this course. The training will be held at the UGA Small Business Development Center (The
Featherbone Center) located at 999 Chestnut Street in Gainesville, GA.

Session #1 :   Thursday, March 29th         7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Session #2:    Thursday, April 5th          7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Session #3:    Thursday, April 12th         7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

                                             Who should attend?

This is a training course for adult Boy Scout Leaders. It is designed for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters,
all Committee Members, as well as 2nd year Webelos leaders who will be crossing over to Boy Scouts. It is for
new and experienced leaders and is open to all registered adult Scouters.

                                        What are the areas of training?

The Boy Scout Program        The Patrol Method             Boy Scout Advancement
Troop Operation              Troop Program Planning        The Outdoor Program

You will become a member of a patrol in a adult training troop. As a member of a troop, you will learn how to
train boys in troop operations including troop meetings and outdoor activities. You will learn how the
advancement program works from Tenderfoot through Eagle Scout rank and how to organize the troop
committee to provide an effective program for the boys in your troop.

                                            What should I bring?

If you have the Official Scoutmaster Handbook and the Boy Scout Handbook, bring them. A pen and paper
will also be necessary.
