Procedure – Review back of this form for position check list and time penalties and Department Hose Manual for
general guidelines. Each certified driver must complete 2 evolutions per quarter.

Evolution – All evolutions use hydrant water not tank water. The engine company lays 200’ from the
simulated fire building to a hydrant. The 5” line is anchored and connected to the standpipe connection using the
5” x 2.5” reducer if the building is not equipped with a 5” connection. IF DRILLING AT A LOCAL
BUILDING DO NOT CHARGE THE SUPPLY LINE. If drilling at a drill tower charge the supply line. Start
timing when the apparatus’ front bumper passes the FDC. Stop timing the when the supply line is connected to the
building water from the hydrant has entered the pump and the attack crew is ready to enter the fire floor.
Equipment removed from the apparatus will be placed on the curb of the apparatus to prevent other vehicles from
 hitting it.

                                                                200 feet
