									Comparing Distributions
  When describing a distribution,
     always mention the…
• Center
• Unusual features (gaps, outliers)
• Shape (unimodal, symmetric,
  skewed, uniform….)
• Spread

And don’t forget to C.U.S.S. in context
But what if you want to compare
  more than one distribution?

Just compare the CUSS of
     each distribution.
         Comparing Boxplots

Because boxplots give us the five-number summary,
however, we should go into a little more detail.

Compare the medians – which group has the
higher center?
Compare the IQR’s – which group is more
spread out?
Check for outliers and identify them if you can.
