									                                  Chapter 5 – Heredity
Listed below are activities I expect you to complete at home and in the classroom. Some
assignments are graded individually. The completion of the packet in its entirety will count as a
project grade. You will need to have your science journal for this assignment. More instructions
concerning your project will follow at a later date. You will be given due dates for each assignment.
Make sure you hand your assignments in on time. Late assignments will not be accepted. Be sure to
put your heading and title on each assignment. Only use color pencils for diagrams. Place your
name on this packet.

Activity 1 – Chapter 5 Vocabulary Foldable - Layered Book
Follow the instructions on the handout. You will receive six sheets of paper. If you make a mistake
you will need to use six sheets of notebook paper. Practice on notebook paper prior to using your
colored paper.
First Page: Title of Foldable, name, date, and period
Pages 2-10: The vocabulary word is to be written on the tab part of the page, the definition at the top
and a picture under it. Turn this assignment in.

Activity 2 – Make flash cards of chapter 5 vocabulary
Using index cards make flash cards of chapter four’s vocabulary. Add this assignment to your
ringie-dingie.

Activity 3 – Chapter 5 Notes - Section 1 – Mendel and his Peas
Copy Chapter 5 notes of section 1. Use these notes to help you answer future activities. Add this
