Students will be starting a science project this week. Students have to complete one of
three possible projects. Project requirements and rubrics can be found on-line in the
science area in the Winman web page or through your science teacher’s web page. Please
preview the possible choices and discuss each one with your child. After your child has
picked the project they wish to complete, fill out and return the form below by October
20,2009. Students may not change their project choice once the form below has been

the project they have chosen. If your child is absent on the day the final project is
due he/she is still responsible for submitting the final project that day.
Projects will accepted one day late and will be penalized one letter grade. No projects will
be accepted after the one day grace period.

Since there are many components to each project, we have put together a list of due dates
for each portion of the projects. These due dates will count as individual homework
assignments, so it is important that they are submitted when they are due. In addition,
following this time frame will make completing the project a less overwhelming experience.
