In this position, Mr. Voigt is developing several programs for Technology Entrepreneurship including a Global Technology Business Plan Competition. Mr. Voigt is responsible for the IMPACT Speaker series, where business leaders speak on campus to students and the community. Mr. Voigt is a full-time instructor in the Georgia Tech College of Management specializing in Entrepreneurship, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Technology Strategy, Information Technology, E- business, and E-commerce. His areas of expertise include change management, technology strategy, leading organizational change, preparing people for technology, and company values. He is also an Associate Professor at the ICN école de management in Nancy France where he is teaching Technology Strategy and Information Technology Management in the MBA curriculum. Mr. Voigts active projects include formation of a global network of technology focused entrepreneurship and commercialization centers (G-TEC), project director for the GlobalTeam MBA program and executive education on technology strategy and innovation. Prior to Georgia Tech, Mr. Voigt was with Hewlett-Packard 28 years holding various leadership positions in consulting, sales, marketing and support. His experience includes leadership of Communication industry sales, Worldwide Mission Critical Support business, and Start-ups in Internet Portal business and Network management services. Mr. Voigt led an internal ventures organization within Hewlett-Packard. This group focused on forming new Internet businesses in the customer service and support organization. His group developed several start-up internal Internet services for Hewlett-Packard, which provided support services for non-HP platforms. These services utilized the latest technologies and employed web business models. The new venture organization developed independent businesses outside of the traditional Hewlett-Packard service and support infrastructure. Prior to the Internet venture group, Mr. Voigt was the General Manager of the Americas Software Service and Support Organization. He led Hewlett-Packards software business and has led major change initiatives focused on improvements in Hewlett-Packard's customer satisfaction, service, and support processes. These efforts have kept Hewlett-Packard as the leader in customer satisfaction. He was one of the key architects of the customer centric support model and led the worldwide implementation efforts. Mr. Voigt holds a BS degree in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters degree in Management of Technology from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He serves on several business councils, including the Executive Roundtable, Corporate Council of Advisors-Management of Technology, and Board of Directors for School of Public Policy. Mr. Voigt has been recognized in Whos Who in Technology for 1998 and 1999 by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Nick and his wife, Star live in Alpharetta, GA and are members of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church.
