Welcome! ~ Scouts of Penn Woods Council...
We share a special welcome with the Scouts and Leaders of the Boy Scouts of America’s
Penn Woods Council as they gather to worship with us this morning.

Thank You for Your Generosity to the Ministries of Trinity!
... During 2009, Parishioners and Friends contributed with growth and generosity to the
ministries of Trinity. With these gifts we fulfilled our God-given mission of proclaiming
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 2009’s contributions to our Regular Parish Ministries
amounted to $274,142 which reflected growth of $14,764, or 5.7%, over the previous
year. THANK YOU for sharing so generously!

... Finance & Stewardship Committee also notes:
 Expenditures for the year (i.e ministries accomplished) totaled $274,338.55, which
reflects a decrease of $27,759, or 10.1%, in comparison with 2008. This decrease
was realized primarily through savings in pastoral ministry expenses.
 No dollars from our Invested Assets were used to fund our Regular Parish Ministries
this year! (This amount exceeded $30,000 annually over the past 3 years.) This is a
        very positive accomplishment!
 We reduced our mortgage balance in 2009 by almost $45,000, to $302,074. With
funds on hand, we still need c. $150,000 to complete our obligation.
 $16,900 was advanced through our regular giving, and an additional $10,080 was
shared in special gifts to support local, regional, and global ministries beyond the
 THANK YOU, once again, for your faithful generosity and support of our ministries!
Without a doubt, many lives have been touched by our witness.
            Free Community Dinner Notes...
Every Tuesday ~ Serving from 5:30-6:30 pm
Ministering to the needs of our community, Trinity is working with our
neighboring churches to provide a “Free Community Dinner” to those who would
appreciate the support. Dinner is served, every Tuesday, at Trinity.
... This Tuesday (2/9) St Thomas Roman Catholic Church will be serving the meal.
... Trinity will be serving the meal on Tuesday, 2/16 (prior to the congregation’s
Fastnacht dinner)... While our Church Council is taking the lead in this project, extra
hands and helpers would be a great help... A sign up sheet is in Trinity Hall.

                         Worship & Music Ministries

Matins ~ Morning Prayer...
Tuesday mornings; 10:00 am
The Office of Morning Prayer is an ancient liturgy of readings, prayers, and canticles
which invites us to give thanks to God in the morning hours as our day begins. Please
join us in Trinity Hall and plan to stay for our weekly Bible Study which follows the liturgy.

Vespers ~ Evening Prayer...
Wednesday evenings; 7:00 pm
This serene and contemplative liturgy is marked by candlelight, melodic canticles (songs
from the scriptures), prayers, and readings. For parishioners and friends seeking a mid-
week time of reflective corporate worship, this liturgy is renewing and fulfilling.

The 40 Days of Lent begin February 17 ~ Ash Wednesday
Morning Liturgy: 7:30 am / Evening Liturgy: 7:00 pm
We’ll gather for Confession & the Imposition of Ashes as we begin the
solemn season of Lent, days in which we seek the Sprit’s aid to
conform our lives more faithfully to our Lord’s way of Prayer, Fasting,
and Charity which leads to fullness of Life. Please Note: Both
liturgies (morning and evening) will be held in the Nave and both will
conclude within ½ hour. Please plan to join us!

“In the Breaking of the Bread” ~ A Passion-Easter Cantata, by Terry Osman
Rehearsals begin (Ash) Wednesday, February 17; 7:30 pm
Beginning Ash Wednesday, (February 17), the first 15-20 minutes of Anthem Choir
rehearsals will be dedicated to this very special composition which reflects on the Passion,
Death, and Resurrection of our Lord. Youth and Adult Parishioners who enjoy singing are
invited to be a part of this unique contemplative and festive work. We’ll sing the Cantata
as part of the Sunday Morning Liturgies the Sunday after Easter (April 11).

Abbreviated Sunday Eucharists...
Upcoming Gathering: February 21; 12:30 pm
These liturgies are celebrated approximately every 3 weeks in Trinity Hall and are kept to
about 20-25 minutes. Parishioners and friends for whom it is difficult to get going in the
morning or for whom the lengthier liturgies are prohibitive, find these the perfect
opportunities to be a part of corporate worship around Word & Sacrament.
