                                         Exploration
            This project was developed as part of the Title III Technology Literacy Challenge Grant’s
                            Capital Region Collaboration for Technology Education.
                                                  2001-2002




Introduction
This is a Power Point Presentation about exploration and contains beautiful photography of
some scenic places around the world. It could be used for a beginning unit of exploration in
Social Studies or for a photography class.

Learners
This project is appropriate for grades 6-8, and fits best within the Social Studies or Art
curriculum.

Resources
Students will need access to a computer to view this project on the internet or intranet.
Teachers could also view from a disk with an LCD projector.

Standards
Social Studies

Standard 2: World History Students will use a variety of intellectual skills to demonstrate their
understanding of major ideas, eras, themes, developments, and turning points in world history
and examine the broad sweep of history from a variety of perspectives.
Art

Standard 2: Knowing and Using Arts Materials and Resources Students will be knowledgeable
about and make use of the materials and resources available for participation in the arts in
various roles.
