         SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT MINOR
Program Description:

This program is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of the concept of Supply
Chain Management (SCM) as a key business strategy. A recent study cited SCM as one of the
three most important management practices for determining world class performances, and this
minor will allow students to develop a framework for understanding the role of Supply Chain
Management in a contemporary global business setting. Students will learn the tools for
integrating the key functions of procurement, production, marketing, logistics, accounting and
MIS, leading to the successful operation of the entire supply chain process. The minor will
expose the students to the many career opportunities available in the field of supply chain
management.

Program Requirements:
1). Business Core Requirements – Take all of the following:
    ACC 222: Introduction to Managerial Accounting                  3
    DSC 205: Business Statistics                                    4
    MGT 302: Introduction to Operations and Supply Chain Management 3
    MIS 235: Information Technology and the Intelligent Enterprise  3
    MKT 291: Principles of Marketing                                3

2. Supply Chain Management Minor Requirements - Take all of the following:
    MGT 432: Purchasing and Materials Management                      3
    MGT/MKT 498: Supply Chain Management                              3
    MIS 303: Enterprise Systems                                       3
    MKT 431: Logistics Management                                     3

3. Required Focus Elective – Take one of the following:
    MGT 451: Operations Planning and Scheduling                                  4
    MGT 453: Productivity Improvement                                            3
    MKT 415: Marketing to Organizations                                          3

4. Required Tools Elective - Take one of the following:
    ACC 333: Managerial Cost Accounting                                          3
    DSC 321: Quantitative Analysis of Business Problems                          3
    DSC/STA 365: Statistical Quality Control                                     3
    EGM/MGT 311: Project Management                                              3
