Fondest Kent State Memory: I have had so many amazing and influential experiences at KSU
that choosing just one is extremely tough. I enjoy seeing school spirit at athletic functions, loved
my time spent living in the residence halls, and have taken some very interesting classes with
amazing professors! I love every student organization that I'm part of and I'm extremely grateful
for all of the new people that I've met. Beyond new friendships, Alpha Xi Delta has given me
numerous advantages to explore my educational opportunities and leadership potential. Being
elected President of my sorority was absolutely one of my fondest college memories. Having
ninety girls put their confidence in me to help enhance their college experience was one of the
most meaningful responsibilities I have ever been awarded.

Fondest Kent State Memory: Completing my first event with Freshman Advisory Council. It
was our first large event of the year and everyone was so nervous to put it on. It was a
"Speedfriending" event that took place in the Student Center. To see the look on the faces of all
of the members of Freshman Advisory Council, to see the work that they had accomplished, it
was a sight to behold. Their faces glowed with pride and accomplishment at what they had
achieved. That is my fondest memory because it showed the ability that I had to advise the
students and I was so proud of them for the great work that they had done. The effort that they
put in to the program showed through everything that they had accomplished.

Fondest Kent State Memory: Every organization with which I have been involved has
positively influenced me in some way, but the most challenging and rewarding experience so far
has been presiding over my fraternity as Chapter President. The relationship I have with my
Brothers and Sisters has transcended friendship--we've become a family. By making a difference
in each other’s lives, and the community's, I have seen how easy it is to lend a helping hand and
to challenge oneself to always do better. Without that supportive framework, I would not be the
person I am today, and for their friendship I am eternally grateful.

Hospital. All while having a blast just completely blows my mind away.

Fondest Kent State Memory: Relay For Life has always been one of my favorite events. Our
late fraternity advisor, Dr. Zuckerman (Doc), passed away unexpectedly in May 2008 after over
30 years of service to Kent State and 15 years of brotherhood with Alpha Epsilon Pi. Doc died
from "natural causes" but he was a cancer survivor and always participated in Relay For Life.
Last spring we had just finished the luminary ceremony and all of my fraternity brothers and our
friends gathered around Doc's luminary and sang the Jewish prayer for mourning. We were all in
tears reminiscing about the great things Doc had done for us in the few years we had the
privilege to have known him. It was unbelievably inspiring to be at Relay For Life with my
closest friends grieving for a loved one.
