LOCATION:        Administration Division - Finance

DUTIES:         Under limited supervision provides management and administration of the Finance Department within
                the Administration Division. Supervises the Finance Department and is the chief financial
                spokesperson for the Board of Health. The CFO reports directly to the Division Director, Administration
                and directly assists in strategic and tactical matters pertaining to budget management, cost benefit
                analysis, forecasting needs and securing new funding. The CFO ensures adequate controls are
                implemented and supporting documentation is approved for fiscal oversight and accountability. The
                CFO is responsible for working with the Division Director, Administration, and the Budget Team is
                development of an annual operating budget. Oversees the management and coordination of all fiscal
                reporting activities for the Board of Health, including revenues and expenditures and balance sheet
                reports, reports to funding agencies, and management of all contracts. Responsible for the annual
                audit and audits of state and federally funded programs.
                Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, finance
                or related field and four years experience managing professional level staff OR Eight years of
                experience, four of which managing at the level equivalent to area of assignment.

                In addition to the minimum qualifications preference will be given to applicants who possess the
                Certified Government Financial Manager certification (CGFM) OR CPA. Seven years (7) of financial
                and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organization. Supervision
                of 8 to 10 staff. Prior experience in public health finance, budgeting, and cost accounting.
