New Member Induction Ceremony

							           New Member Induction Ceremony
The VPM together with the President officiate this ceremony. The VPM speaks,
the President hands the documents, etc. prior to the conclusion of the
ceremony. Prior to the start of the meeting, a copy of the Toastmasters Promise
should be distributed with the meeting agenda, et. al.

VPM BEGINS: Membership in Toastmasters is a privilege.

The only way to gain the benefits of our program is to actively participate.
Let us read together the Toastmasters Promise: ………………

Do you, ____________________, ____________________,
______________________, and ______________________ promise to be active
members of this club, to attend meetings regularly and prepare fully for your
duties?

Do you also promise to fulfill the other points in the Toastmaster’s promise?

Have the members stand:
Do you, the members of ___________ _________ Toastmasters Club #xxxxxxxx,
promise to support ____________________, ____________________,
______________________, and ______________________ as they work the
Toastmasters program?

(After their answer, say, “Be seated.”)

Presentation of Materials: The VPM calls new member’s name, hands materials
to the President, who gives the materials to the new members, pins the pin, and
shakes hands.

Present each new member with a new member certificate, copy of Toastmasters
Promise, copy of the Toastmasters Mission Statement, and Toastmasters pin.


CONCLUDE:
It is now my pleasure, as the Vice President of Membership, to declare you
installed as new members of ___________ _________ Toastmasters Club #xxxxxx.

The VPM leads in applause, shakes hands of new members as each take his/her
