Large Scale Distributed Systems:
Weather Web Service
An RMI server-client was developed for the automatic update of database with weather data by parsing XML feeds from Yahoo
Weather.
A web service was designed, developed and deployed which displays interactive weather data on Google Maps API.
Project was implemented using JavaEE with MySQL database and deployed on Amazon Cloud.
Compute Shortest Path using Hadoop, Map Reduce
Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) was used with Map Reduce to compute the shortest path between nodes in a graph.

Query Processor
Implemented a query processor for flat file database in Java.
The query processor has capabilities of generating optimal query plans based on heuristics provided and fetches records in

Neural Networks - Handwritten Digits Recognition
Implemented two-layer neural network to classify the handwritten digits in Matlab.
The application takes pre-processed (using feature extractor) image in the form of binary feature vector and predicts the digit.
