Hands-on Practical Training for International
Candidates
PCW Trainees International provides hands-on practical training, which supplements an
individual's education and experience. This training can last up to 12 months in various
departments such as the kitchen, food and beverage service & administration, golf operations and
golf course maintenance.
PCW Trainees International gives Trainees the opportunity to experience first-hand some of the
unique aspects of American hospitality culture; American-style hotels and resorts, the private gated
community, and the American Country Club. It is only a matter of time before the American Country
Club model is commonly seen abroad. When this happens, our Trainees will be sought out by
companies in their home country, as they will have the necessary experience for any future country
club communities. In other words, this training gives individuals the tools necessary to gain a
competitive advantage for American style hotel resorts, country clubs/golf clubs in their home
country.
Based upon performance, aptitude, and skill levels, some Trainees may be selected to receive
additional training in clubs or hotels in other areas of the US such as California, Colorado,
Michigan, Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, the Carolinas, New York, and New Jersey,
PCW Trainees International provides a working model of American hospitality. Our quality-driven
service standards and positive work environment fosters entrepreneurial skills that will enhance an
individual's experience.
Training that is offered
The training offered by PCW Trainees International is hands-on practical training. While individuals
are selected for several areas, the three main areas where most individuals train are Food &
Beverage service and administration, the kitchen, and golf department.
The overall goal of our training programs are to expose Trainees to the day-to-day activities that
take place in their departments while initially providing individuals with American standards of
service to enhance their own knowledge and experience.
During this training, individuals are exposed to American hospitality in a private community resort.
Each year beginning in October our new Trainees join us. During the course of the training
program, Trainees will participate in theoretical courses 2 to 4 times per month according to the
level of business. Copies sample training plans can be received from our representative or from
your school administration office.
Visa Information
PCW Trainees International knows that leaving home and coming to a new country is not easy. We
try to make this process as easy for our Trainees as possible, which is why we provide assistance
with visas. Our Visa Specialists stay in constant contact with Trainees to update them on the need
for additional information and to track the progress of their paperwork through the visa application
and approval process.
We utilize visa-sponsoring agencies to process all of the necessary documents that the Trainee
must take to the U.S. Embassy in their home country. The training period can last 6 to 12 months
for both Interns and Trainees. The total visa process can take between 3 and 5 months, which is
why it is important to provide all requested documentation no later than any deadlines given by our
Visa Specialists.
How to Apply
Most of our Training Programs begin in October and November, or in May and June of each year.
We recruit all year around to ensure the timely arrival of our Trainees when the Host Employers
begin the program. The visa process can take more than three months, which is why it is
imperative to meet any deadlines given by PCWTI Visa Specialists.
The deadline for accepting complete application for specific training positions is stipulated by the
starting date of the training. Usually this deadline is four months prior to the start date, however
the earlier you apply for a Training position, the more options you may have. Any applications
received after a deadline will be considered for the next following Training program.

What PCW Trainees International Offers You
1. Hands-on Education & Experience:
The overall goal of the training program is to provide international hospitality students and
professionals with training in American standards of service to enhance their own knowledge and
work experience. Our Trainees will fully understand the day-to-day operations of the various
departments within a hospitality setting and understand the way the departments and divisions are
managed.
In addition, Trainees will learn new skills and technologies by being exposed to American
standards of service and management styles that can differ significantly from those in their home
country. The American host employer will benefit by learning the international standards of
hospitality service, which you will bring to the experience.
Finally, through daily interaction at the training site and in the local community, the trainee will gain
a better understanding of American culture and society. The trainee's education and training will
expose American associates to new knowledge of foreign culture and skills. The training program
will create an environment that promotes the open exchange of ideas between the Trainee and the
American managers and staff participants.
2. Accommodations:
PCW Trainees International and your host employer provide accommodations for Interns and
Trainees. Four people share an apartment. These luxury apartments are generally located within 5
miles from the Employer. The apartments are fully furnished and have two bedrooms, two
bathrooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen. For a list of items provided, check our
Frequently Asked Questions. Trainees will not pay rent but are required to pay a $250 deposit that
will be deducted through payroll.
3. Transportation:
PCW Trainees International and the host employer provide transportation to & from the employer’s
training location. There is a designated area at the apartment complex where Trainees will
assemble for their transportation. Each individual is responsible for knowing when his or her shifts
begin. A driver will pick up Trainees at least half an hour before shifts.
Often our host employers are located where there is a lack of public transportation. The driver can
make special arrangements if a trainee needs to go grocery shopping.
4. Uniforms:
Your employer will provide some of the uniforms and guidance on what type of clothing you should
bring with you. Certainly you should bring comfortable shoes and appropriate personal items of
clothing for the times when you are not working and training.
5. Meals on Duty:
The ladies & gentlemen of your host employer eat for free. Depending on a shift, employees and
Trainees can eat before, during, or after their shift. Your host employer will advise you on the
appropriate meal times on a bulletin board where this and other pertinent information is posted on
a daily basis.
