POSITION: .1 - .2 FTE School Physical Therapist
Non-Continuing Contract                 Position Posted until Filled
NOTE: Candidates who apply at this time will be considered for additional openings, which may
occur throughout the end of the 2012/2013 school year.
THE POSITION: The Ferndale School District is seeking applicants who are student focused with the
potential to be innovative leaders in their schools. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to
deliver instruction based upon the best available research and best practices in teaching and learning.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Applicants are to submit a letter of application, completed Ferndale
School District application form, copy of Washington State Certificate(s) or evidence of eligibility,
placement file (or three letters of recommendation, one of which should be from current supervisor),
transcripts (official or unofficial) and professional reference forms to the address listed above.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must hold a valid Washington State E.S.A. Certificate with Physical Therapy Endorsement
   or comparable Physical Therapist licensure.
2. Demonstrated ability to work with parents and students.
3. Demonstrated positive interaction with students.
4. Ability to work with students to help them succeed, both academically and socially.
5. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member to facilitate appropriate placement and
   programming for students.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Demonstrated knowledge of current PT school-based program.
2. Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to decision-making in collaboration with
   administrators, other staff members and parent community.
3. Willingness to participate in ongoing staff development that promotes continuous inquiry
   and improvement of instruction and student learning.

Preference will be given to those individuals who are certified in the State of Washington. Ferndale School District will accept
applications from individuals wishing to share a position. As a condition of employment, newly hired employees must obtain
Washington State Patrol and FBI fingerprint background clearance and furnish proof of identity and employment
authorization status.
