State�s License & ONU Transcript Fees

							PROCEDURE FOR ELECTRONICALLY ADDING
TEACHER LEADER ENDORSEMENT TO A VALID
TYPE 03, 09, OR 10 CERTIFICATE

     Complete ONU’s 33 hour MAE Degree with major in Teacher Leader
      Education.
     Teacher Leader Endorsement will service same grade level as current
      certificate

      Applicant’s Responsibilities:

  1. Complete Form ISBE 73-52A (5/10), Application for Teacher Leader
     Endorsement of Issued Certificate. This form is available on the State’s ECS
     Website .(Forms).
  2. DISREGARD DIRECTIONS GIVEN ON TOP OF FORM ISBE 73-52A.
     DO NOT RETURN THIS FORM OR ANY MONEY TO A ROE.
  3. Submit the completed Form ISBE 73-52A and a $5 check payable to ONU for
     transcript to Carol Reams, Office of the Registrar, ONU, One University Avenue,
     Bourbonnais, IL 60914 OR you may fax FORM 73-52A and credit card
     information for $5 transcript fee to 815-935-4992.
  4. If requirements have been met for the endorsement, Olivet will electronically
     notify ISBE that you have met requirements for the endorsement.
  5. When you are notified by email from Carol Reams in the Registrar’s Office
     stating “you have an Endorsement Recommendation Application waiting for you
     to complete”, please do the following:
   Upon receiving the email notice, log on to www.isbe.net/ecs .
   Click on the Educator Access link
   If you do not already have one, set up an ECS account.
   Log into ECS using your login and password.
   Select the “Applications” menu item.
   Select the “Endorsement Recommendation Application” menu item.
   Click on the “apply online” link to the right of your endorsement recommendation
     “Endorsement Application Entry”.
   Follow the step- by- step wizard through the endorsement application process.
   You will pay $51.75 to ISBE by credit card. No money orders are required or
     visits to ROE’s.

   You will NOT receive a new certificate; you and your school administrators can
     view the newly issued endorsement on ECS.
   Because you have provided Olivet with the $5 transcript fee, we will send a copy
     of your official transcript to ISBE for you.
Expanded Information:

      Dr. Jim Knight, Olivet’s Certifying Officer, will review your Endorsement
       Application. If all requirements are met, the electronic Endorsement
       Recommendation will be completed and then you may electronically apply for the
       Teacher Leader Endorsement.
      This electronic procedure will ensure that your endorsement application is
       handled in a more timely manner by ISBE and we hope it will be more
       convenient for you.
