have been investigating …
In those days, having a photograph taken
was not an everyday activity. People
usually took photos on special occasions,
and they often wore their best clothes.
Women wore long dresses and skirts, tights
and high-heeled shoes. They sometimes
wore gloves and hats. They carried small,
Girls usually wore short elegant dresses or
skirts, socks and shoes. They wore
ribbons and bows in their hair.
A lot of people lived in houses. Buildings
and flats were not as usual as today .
