Letter from the President
It is my pleasure to invite you and your family to explore the opportunities that Oromocto
Training & Employment Centre (OTEC) offers.
OTEC has operated as a non profit organization since 1978, and, while our population of
individuals has changed over the years (see History tab), our commitment to our clientele has
We take pride in offering an outstanding level of quality and service to individuals, helping to
enhance lives and secure paid work in the labour force at all times possible.
Hats off to OTEC this past year for many milestones it has achieved: a new location move
(April’11) and new phone system (August’11), successful implementation of our Newsletter (October
‘11) launching our firs t website (March’12), are but a few.
Some of these milestone changes have helped increased transparency with stakeholders and
funding partners, and enhanced our ability to communicate to staff, program participants and
OTEC operates under the ADAPT1 agencies guidelines for the Province of New Brunswick, and
under the membership directives of NBASSE2.
ADAPT agencies have undergone some changes over the past decade and will continue to evolve
in future years as we recognize the diverse landscape of economic development, government
assistance and the growing commitment OTEC makes toward helping program participants
become valuable and participating members of their community.
OTEC could be the next step in the right direction for you or a loved one.
